Language Arts

I walk into Language Arts after being bored out of my mind from Science and Math. I'm okay in both of those classes but it's too much for my brain. I look around for a seat then notice the boy from music. He signals for me to sit next to him and I feel my face redden for the tenth time today. He notices and smiles. Once the class starts I notice him picking at the logo on his football jacket.

"Class, you can do whatever you please. I haven't gotten all my literature books ready so you have free time as long as you're quiet!" my teacher yells from his desk at the front of the room.

"Bella right?" he stutters, hoping he didn't mess up my name. I find this so adorable, so I look over to time and nod.

"I'm Jace,"

"Nice to meet you Jace," I respond.

"Nice to meet you cut- I mean Bella" He covers his mouth quickly, unsure of what to do next. DID HE JUST TRY TO CALL ME CUTIE?! I feel my body heat up as he looks into my eyes. I can't help but notice he's fidgeting with a pencil. He's so cute. I laugh off his mistake and he releases a breath.

"I see you're on the football team?"

"Yeah, I'm the quarterback," Wow. Hearing this from him makes him even cuter. He looks at my dimples and then back into my eyes.

"Wow, you must be really good!"

"I don't know, you tell me. Why don't you come to a game?"

"I don't see why not,"

"Great, our next game is Friday night. Can't wait to see you there,"
Next thing I know, it's time for lunch. I feel nervous as I don't know where to sit. I never really made any girl friends so I have no where to go. Suddenly, I feel pressure towards the front of my body and a girl is lying on the ground in front of me!

"Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry!" I exclaim as I help her up and pick up her books. I look at her and notice she has those blue green eyes... just like John...

"Oh you're fine! I'm Nadine by the way. Nadine Vincent," They must be siblings! I notice her hair is the same color as Johns, and that they both have the same sculpted nose.

"I'm Bella! I hope maybe we can be friends after my accident," I ask, embarrassed out of my mind.

"Of course! Sit with me at lunch?"

"Yeah!"Thank god for my clumsiness, I wouldn't have made a friend without it. I eat my lunch with Nadine and her friend Andrea and get to know her. This day hasn't gone as bad as I anticipated and I'm so glad.

The past few days have been really good. I've been talking more with John and Jace and I'm going to the football game tonight with Nadine. She told me she's been crushing on the wide receiver Josh Lander. She's talked about him for quite the amount of time and I'm hoping she makes the courage to talk to him. Me and John are also working on our project in Music on Saturday. Me and Jace have been bonding over the book we're reading in Literature: The Outsiders. I know I have small feelings for both of them: though I'd never admit it to their face.

The way Johns blue green eyes sparkle whenever I see him, the way he looks at me in class makes me feel warm and bubbly. He got mad with me on my first day, but he's been very nice ever since. He does get really upset with Jace, however.

Jace on the other hand is always very nervous around me, which makes me smile. He needs to grow more comfortable with me but we only met a few days ago, so i'll be okay. I also love his adam's apple and the way it moves when he talks.

Today at lunch, I noticed that John was really upset. I don't sit with him but I always catch a glimpse of him. After a couple of minutes I look over to the left again and notice John in Jace's face! They both look at me and then back at each other... I look at Nadine who spots her brother in an instant...
