i loved you so much
and you ignited my fire
making my heart beat a mile a minute

i made you my project
trying to fix you became my purpose
trying to understand you
as if you were an alien from another planet

but you didn't bother getting to know me,
you just walked out because your feelings became
confusing and overwhelming.

now my tears fall down my face
even though you lost me
and i am something no amount of money can replace
i am still left searching for a reason why
asking myself where things went wrong

i'll just find my way back to myself
with the lights to guide the way

falling asleep at night
knowing that i tried to fix you.
