Archie POV
He was headed here. I had spent every moment since getting home cleaning the house and thinking about Jughead. I don't even know why, probably because he is the only one that understands my struggle of being a closeted gay kid.
"Hey Archie! I'm home!" My dad yelled as he walked through the door.
"Hey dad," I said from the kitchen while I was figuring out what we could do without people recognizing either of us.
"You seem preoccupied. Hot date planned?" He asked as he walked into the kitchen.
"No just hanging out with a new friend I made last night." I replied, internally blushing at the comment.
Jughead:
I'm outside, what should I do?
Me:
I'll be there in a min.
"Hey." I said as I opened the door. He had a backpack and was wearing a denim jacket instead of the leather.
"Hey." He replied and I just took in how beautiful he was. He then looked down at his feet and I realized I had been staring.
"Arch, are you going to let them in?" My dad yelled.
"Sorry, yeah, come in." I said as I stepped "So I was thinking we could hang out here or we could hang out at the treehouse."
"Um, here would be nice if you don't mind." He said.
"Yeah, hey are you hungry I was going to ask. I don't know about you but I literally didn't get any sleep last night and I'm running on a couple of red bulls."
"I haven't either. I was meeting my dad this morning for breakfast, but they didn't believe that I wasn't at my treehouse and are convinced I spent the night with a girl." he chuckled.
"Here I'll grab some stuff from the kitchen, and bring it back." I said as I headed to the kitchen.
I made a couple sandwiches and brought them up to my room, he was looking out the window facing Betty's house.
"Hey, I brought sandwiches." I said as I sat them down on the bed.
"Who's window do you look at, did the builders realize that's extreme issue of privacy."
"I was wondering what you were doing looking at Betty's window. She must have her curtains closed." I said as I grabbed one of the sandwiches and he sat down and grabbed the other.
"You have a window that faces into a, what I assume is, a teenage girl's room?" He inquired.
"Yeah, it would be great if I was a straight guy or a lesbian, but sadly I am not either." I laughed.
We ate in relative silence after that, it only took a couple of minutes for him to wolf down the sandwich. He acted like he hadn't ate in days, then again we'd both been up since yesterday morning and I hadn't ate all night because we were talking.
"That was really good." He said when he'd finished.
He had mayo by his mouth so I was like "You have a little.." and he wasn't getting it so I said "Here, let me."
I wiped it with my hand, and he said "Is this going to be a cliche excuse for you to kiss me?"
I choked on air at that. "What?"
He laughed a big hearty laugh and he kept laughing at me "It's not funny." I whined.
"Your reaction was priceless." He chuckled.
