Jughead POV
"Hey, mom. We're back." I said cautiously.
"Where were you, you were supposed to be here to make dinner. I do enough for this household. I work all day so you brats can go to school and I come back and not only have you not done sh*t, but you aren't even here!" she yelled as she stood up from the couch, and walked over towards me. "You're just as useless as your father. All he does is lay around and drink himself to death."
"Mom, I don't even drink." I said.
"Did you just back talk to me?" She said as she threw her beer bottle at me, which shattered and impaled me in the shoulder. She was way too violent to be reasoned with.
"Jellybean go now!" I yelled as mom came closer and pushed me up against the wall.
"If you even think about leaving Jellybean..." She threatened
I was struggling to breathe with her hand on my throat, so I grabbed her hand away from my neck, and yelled "GO NOW!"
She looked at mom and then at me and bolted out the front door.
Jellybean POV
I knew I shouldn't leave him, but I knew I had to get help. He said earlier to go to his friends house. I wasn't sure where that was, but he gave me a street address. I looked at my hand, Cool, now I just need to figure out where Elm street is.
I ran towards the Whyte Wyrm, they have maps. Dad was there talking with people. Wait, I thought he went home. Ugh, not the time to think about that JB.
I walked up to him and said "I need a map."
He looked bewildered "Why do you need a map?"
I groaned, I didn't have time, I had to find his friend. "Where is Elm Street?"
"Elm street? Why do you need Elm Street?"
I groaned again. "I dont have time for this bullsh*t, just answer the d*mn question. It's an emergency."
"I'll take you there then." he said as he got up.
"No, just answer the question." I said.
"Either you let me take you to your destination on elm street or you tell me what the emergency is."
I really wanted to tell him, but I could break my promise to Jug, "Neither, bye." I said and went to go walk out when I saw a map, by the door "Convenient." I looked at it and discovered Elm street was on the north side. Of course, that's why he said to go to that friend's house. Mom would have no idea where I was.
I set off running in that direction, I just needed to find his friend. Jug never said that I couldn't have his friend go check on him, he just said i couldn't go to dad, or the police.
I kept running, it felt like forever until I saw that sign. I looked at my hand, I was sweating so much that I couldn't figure out the house number. I rolled my eyes, Of course just my luck.
I walked up to a house that had the first couple of numbers and a blonde gal about Jughead's age answered the door "Hi, can I help you?"
"Hi, I'm looking for a friend of my brother's, um," I forgot his name "Andy, Alex, oh, what was his name?"
"Archie?" She asked, and it clicked.
"Yes, that's him, do you know where he is?" I asked and then dad's new girlfriend walked to the door, I met her the other day when Jughead went to his friends house. Great just my luck, everything happens when it's an emergency.
