Jughead POV

"You realize I just said pairs or groups of three, this is four." I said.

"If other groups had more than three would you be mad?" She asked.

"Point made. But you have to ride with one of us, since you don't have a motorcycle." I said

"I'll ride with you." She said and grabbed her motorcycle helmet from behind the bar. She was still fixing up an old motorcycle, but she had a helmet for when she had to ride with other people.

We headed out to the parking lot, I grabbed my dad's keys on the way out since he was staying here with Jellybean, so I ended up driving his instead. We drove out to about Riverdale HIgh and were about to go patrolling when I got a call from Archie. I was going to ignore it, but something about it didn't add up. He knew that I was out finding guys, he shouldn't be calling.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked.

"I think I know where to find them." He replied.

"Hold on, I'm going to put you on speaker phone." I said and did so as I signalled fangs and sweet pea to come closer. "Okay speak."

"I got a very cryptic message earlier from Reggie today a couple minutes ago. He said something about how if I want the Southsider Criminals to pay, to come and join him at the football field. I couldn't think of anything else, other than that you said something to your dad about 3 serpents went missing earlier and it's the only thing that makes sense. I mean it could be something completely different, and not this, and I really kind of hope-"

"Arch, you're rambling. We'll check it out."

"Should I come and make sure they're not doing anything stupid?" He asked.

"They are northsider football jocks, they already are doing something stupid, and no, we can handle it, stay inside." I said.

"Okay, bye Jug. Be careful."

"Bye." I said, and everyone else looked at me weird. "Okay, high school football field. I think it would be best if we tried stealthy first and then if needed we'll call the calvary." I said and turned off the engine." They were still giving me weird looks "What?"

"You trust the word of a bulldog, we could be walking into a trap for all we know." Sweet Pea explained.

"All the more reason to be quiet and go the way no one would expect us from. Look question my friendship with a Northsider later, right now we need to see if Archie was lying or there are three serpents in the football field." They scoffed and rolled their eyes but new better than to question me. In the back of my head I was wondering whether this was a friendship or something more.

We slowly made our way over to the football field and nothing was there. "I think your northsider friend was trying to trick you." Sweet Pea piped up.

Just then Archie walked into the football field, and Reggie came out. They were saying something but I couldn't hear it.

Toni must have heard it, because she turned to me and said something. My eyes went wide, my hearing aids must have quit. Luckily for me Toni knew of my predicament and knew sign language.

Help. I signed Hearing aid. I was internally freaking out.

Sh*t. She signed back. You be bait, I'll get everyone else.

I gave her the thumbs up, tossed her my keys, just in case, and walked onto the football field. I couldn't hear anything, so I kept looking around to see if someone picked me up. All of a sudden, a black bag went over my head and I fought with them kicked them in, what I assume, was the groin but I had no way of knowing, since I couldn't hear. I knew I was bait, so I only put up an act of a struggle, they wouldn't believe taking the Serpent King without a fight. Not that they knew I was the serpent King, they probably still assumed that it was still my dad, not that they knew he was my dad either.
