Archie POV
It was a nice treehouse. I found it a couple years ago, when I was wondering around. It was run down and unused. I fixed it up a little and put down a mattress, just in case I needed to sleep here.
It had been a couple hours since I got here and I was drifting off when the door to the treehouse opened. I immediately started thinking the worst and grabbed a small two by four, that was settled by the mattress.
"Ah!" the guy screamed when he saw me a grabbed a knife out of his jean pocket.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Are you going to kill me?" He asked.
"Are you going to hurt me?" I asked.
"I don't plan on it. Why are you here?"
"Why are you here?"
"Umm, this used to be my treehouse when I was younger." He said and I dropped my two by four down by my legs.
"Oh. I hope you don't mind me fixing it up and using it." I asked
He seemed taken aback and sceptical of me, but ended up putting his knife back in his pocket. "Yeah, I dont I just didn't expect it."
"Here, I'll show you what I did. I'm Archie by the way." I extended a hand.
He seemed to look at me weird. "Where are you from?"
"Um... Riverdale?" I asked confused. I put my hand back into my pocket.
"So you're from the Northside?"
"Are you not?" I asked puzzled, he nodded slowly "Cool. As long as you don't murder me, I don't care."
"Really? You're not going to give me the all high and mighty speech, about how we're all criminals, and you guys are better than us?"
"Honestly, I don't understand that mentality myself. You're only a criminal if you've done illegal stuff. You're not here to murder me are you?"
He laughed, and then pulled down his hat, I wondered why but now was not the time to ask. "No, but what is a Northsider like you not partying it up?"
I laughed at that "I am currently running away from a party. They all think that I took a girl home. Which is partially true, but I just used it as an excuse to leave."
Jughead POV
I just looked at him, I think he's literally the exact same as me but from the Northside. I was always taught not to trust them. They'll just make you into a criminal, and you'll end up in jail. But literally I'm looking at this ginger (may I mention extremely hot) guy and it makes you think of a golden retriever.
"Umm..." I finally said "Would you believe it if I told you same?"
"Really?" He laughed "You don't like parties either but you feel like its obligational?"
That part was kind of true, but mainly it was getting away from my house. "Yeah. Only it kind of is for me."
"I understand, I'm the captain of the football team."
I thought about telling him, he'd probably run scared, but then again, it would give me the treehouse to myself "I'm the Serpent King."
His eyes got super big and you could see a million questions running through them, it was kind of entertaining to watch. But then I said "No I'm not going to hurt you without reason."
That seemed to calm him down, and he was silent for a couple minutes, "You want to hang out tonight since neither of us want to go back to the party?" that completely shocked me.
