Can: My love, I want to spend the day with you. Can we play hooky from work?

Sanem: Sure. Can you put me down?

Can: Only if you kiss me again.... (they smiled at each other and she kissed him)

Sanem: Can we eat now?

Can: Of course!

After they ate breakfast, Can had told Sanem they would go to her house. He was going to talk to her parents while she got changed for the day. They drove out to her house and parked right up front.

Sanem: Are you sure you want to do this? I mean really you don't have to.

Can: Sanem, you agreed we are doing this differently. I want them to know my intentions. I know your family is traditional and I respect that.

Sanem: Okay. I understand but you do remember they are crazy.

Can: Yes but they do like last time I checked.

Sanem took her time getting ready upstairs. Showered, changed, and tidied up her room. She decided to stay calm and let them talk.

Can, Mevkibe and Nihat sat and chatted in the garden drinking chai. They talked for almost a half hour. Mevkibe and Nihat loved Can. They knew he screwed up with Sanem but he was young and in love. They both understood how crazy love can make a person.

Sanem came downstairs and was greeted by the three of them smiling.

Sanem: What did I miss?

Mevkibe: Oh nothing, we just chatted with Can. Also we approve of your relationship.

Sanem: You do?

Mevkibe: Of course, we love Can. And we always knew you two would end up together. Call it intuition. Anyways go enjoy your day together.

Sanem looked over at smiling Can.

Sanem: Okay, lets go. See you Anne and Baba.

As they got in Can's truck Sanem couldn't help but feel like that conversation was too easy.

Sanem: Can, what really happened?

Can: Honestly Sanem, it went great. Had I spoken with them when we first started dating I'm curious how things would be different.

Sanem: Works for me...now what?

Can: Well I was thinking maybe we would go back to Agva for the day. It's perfect weather.

Sanem: Sounds great.

The car ride to Agva was perfect. They were relaxed and it was as if they hadn't been apart. They had a way of picking up where they left off. It was natural and right. After they arrived Can and Sanem walked along the beach returning to the spot where Sanem first day dreamed about Can and where they had a moment in the water together when they camped.

Can looked to Sanem. She was smiling taking in the sun. Can thought to himself, "How lucky am I? How did I even find her? We found our way back finally. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes upon and will ever look at.--"

Sanem: Can, why are you staring at me? I can feel you burning a hole through my face. Hahaha (keeping her eyes closed)

Can: I'm just admiring the view. Cok guzel. (He could never understand how oblivious she was to her beauty.)

Sanem: Evet, It's always nice coming here. I think we should do it more now that we are back together. I think it will be good to escape the craziness that is work and our families.

Can: Agreed, we will need to start thinking about our family too.

Sanem: Hmmm, what do you mean?

Can: I mean this will be a place where we will bring our kids often I think.

Sanem: (with wide eyes) Our kids?

Can: Of course, our kids. I plan on having a very large family with you. (showing off his huge grin)

Sanem: Oh really? I think we are moving a little fast now. Let's go get something to eat I'm starving.

Can: Okay my love. I know what happens if I don't keep you fed.

They walked back to the hotel restaurant together not saying a word. They were both trying to figure out how they got to this point.

Can was taken aback by how fast she shut down the conversation of kids. He always wanted a family. It wasn't until he met her that he realized how badly he wanted it and wanted it with her only. Companionship was one thing but to raise children and grow old together was special. Sanem was it for him. She was his everything and he wanted everything with her.

For Sanem, she always wanted children. She hoped that one day she found the one to have children with and she did. She wasn't expecting Can to be so open about it. She was always a little insecure about their relationship. He was so sure about their kids. It was kind of scary. She didn't really know what to do so swiftly changing the subject to her hunger seemed the smoothest transition.

They sat and had a huge delicious dinner. Can had called the restaurant ahead of time and ordered everything he knew Sanem liked. Grilled meat with bread, pasta, pizza, dessert. She was stunned.

Sanem: Can you spoil me! This looks amazing. Thank you love for planning this.

Can: Of course. I want you to have the best.

Half way through the meal, Sanem decided to talk to Can about the deflection earlier.

Sanem: Can, can we revisit the conversation from earlier?

Can: You mean the one where I was talking about our future children and you wanted to deflected it with your hunger?

Sanem: Evet, that one.

Can: Okay, I'm listening.

Sanem: Look Can, I--

Can: Sanem, you don't need to worry about it. I was a little forward and got over excited.

Sanem: Evet ama--

Can: Evet ama, now isn't the time. We just got back together my head is in a different spot than yours.

Sanem: Can, will you let me finish. (almost annoyed)

Can: Evet, I'm sorry. Please continue.

Sanem: I wanted to say I agree.

Can: Agree with what?

Sanem: I agree that we will take our kids here. Our many kids. (Can was smiling at her)

Can: You agree?!

Sanem: Of course. We are on the same page. I will say I was taken aback. I didn't know you wanted children. I mean I never heard you mention children before. I always assumed that with your traveling, it wasn't really an option. We just never discussed it before. I mean, we have spent more time apart than together. I don't think the subject ever came up.

Can: Of course I want children. Ama, I want children with you and only you. I only realized how much I wanted to have a family when I met you. I mean I love the traveling but to share my life with you and our children where we can travel together and live a beautiful life. That is the dream, that is my dream for us.

Sanem: Wow, I can't believe you said that. I mean I knew you were serious about us but wow.

Can: I want everything with you. Simple.

Sanem: That is my dream too.

Can: We really suffered not being together. I'm just so happy we are together and we have the rest of our lives ahead of us. I want you to know how serious I am about us. I mean I know I talked to your parents but I don't think I've been able to convey how I feel about you to you.

Sanem: We have time canim. We have plenty of time.
