[ Jinhee's POV ]
I'm so sick of listening the gossip girls discussing about vampires. They talk about this and that. Some are not even true! They're making up things and spreading false information. So annoying! And I can't defend myself, that's the worst part.
"They really don't know when to stop" I muttered, complaining. I, again, trying to focus on studying. At that moment, Jiyong stood up and went somewhere. I don't know where, don't ask. I don't pay attention on him that much.
Out of the blue, the girls stop talking.Finally. "You can focus now" He came back to his seat. I turned to him and he avoided my eyes. I looked at the gossip girls, they are whispering something while looking at us.
Us, mean me and Jiyong.
"What did you do?" I asked, turning to him. "Nothing" He said simply. Did he-did he just stop the girls for me? Really?
---
"Jinhee, can you help me with this?" One of my classmates asked for help. "Sure!" I hurried to her and lifted up the books. We walked to the teacher office together.
"So, Jinhee, seems like you don't talk much" She's being friendly as she giggles. Can't deny it, she's cute. I smile, "Yeah" I agreed, smiling shyly.
"By the way, I'm Jisoo" She smiled happily. I just nod with a smile. Let's not get to attach. "Thanks for helping me!" She giggled joyfully.
"Let's go to the canteen together" She clung into my arm and pulled me to her direction. If she's acting this way, how can I refuse. "I'll buy you something delicious for helping me"
"Thanks!" Right, let's just do whatever she wants. I'll be fine.
"You two, girls" Our homeroom teacher walked closer to us. "Can you two help teacher with something?" She's panting. "I'll buy you something delicious" She pulled out a deal. But wait--that's the same line!
Jisoo, who is still holding to my arm, looking at me with her smiling eyes. Looks like she's happy when it comes to food. "Okay, teacher!" She exclaimed.
Ahhh, I'm ruined.
---
"Thank you, girls" The teacher is smiling after her urgent work is done, thanks to our help. "So what should we eat now?" She asked excitedly. I swear, Jisoo and Teacher have the exact same personality.
"Pizza!" "No, chicken of course!"
Forget to mention, there's two more girls volunteered to help before. Now they fighting over food. Human food.
"I guess pizza is fine" Jisoo smiled. "What about you, Jinhee?" Hearing my name, I feel like 'snapped' into reality. What is it again? Pizza or chicken, right?
"P-Pizza" I said, loud and clear and they exclaim happily after pizza winning the majority. Honestly, I don't want both so I better get going and grab my meals now before the worst happen.
"Actually--" "Let's go!" Before I finish my sentence, Jisoo, again, pulled my arm excitedly to eat pizza.
"Hahahaha! You're right!" I see them laughing happily. They looks so happy, having friends to laugh with. I look at Jisoo and she smiled brightly at me. I can't help it. I feel great being with them. Without I know it, I'm smiling with them.
Am I making friends now?
---
"Jinhee! Are you okay" Chaeyong asked me worriedly. Yeah, I learnt their name already. But that's not important now.
"I'm fine. It just an upset stomach" I told them a white lie as I got out of the toilet after throwing up everything I just ate. Pizza, damn human food!
"Oh my god, you looks so pale!" Lisa cupped my cheeks. "Am I?" I asked myself as I walked towards the mirror. I'm literally panting softly right now, trying to catch my breath. Even my vision is not that clear anymore.
Shit! I gotta go. "Should you go to the infirmary?" Jisoo asked, I bet she's worried sick. She helped me walk properly as I start to feel dizzy. "No! Let's go back...to the class" I ordered them.
"Infirmary is this way" I hear Chaeyong said. I pulled myself from them. They not going to help me by going to infirmary! I'll get caught.
I need to hurry and take my meal. It's in my bag in the class. After that, everything's going to be fine. Definitely!
"To the class..." I said to myself, walking by my own, feeling dizzy and hungry.
Hungry. Hungry for blood.
Blood!
I accidentally bumped into someone. This smell! This sweet smell! It's so seducing. The smell of your blood.
Sweet blood.
I can't control myself anymore. I'm hungry. I can feel my eyes changing and my cannies grow sharper. I saw his neck and aim for it! Yes, blood!
"Hey, you!" A strong grip pulled me away from my food.
Noooo! I'm just about to taste him. That person held both of my arms tightly. "Hungry..." The last thing I say and it went completely dark.
[ Jiyong's POV ]
My steps just stop when I saw my deskmate: Jinhee, heading to me, walking like she's drunk. She came closer as if she didn't see me until her head bumped my chest. What's gotten into her?
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked yet, no answer can be heard. She buried her face into my chest, sniffing me. I scoffed, she's acting weird. When she tip toeing, leaning to my face, I'm just frozen there.
"W-what you're d-doing?" I'm panicking. My heart started to race. Is she going to kiss me? K-kiss!? Before I know it, I forget how to breathe.
"Hey, you!" Suddenly she was apart from me. I exhaled softly, now I can breathe. Oh gosh, what was that?
I realizes there's someone holding her; a boy. Never see him before.
Then she just fell weakly into his arms. "She passed out?" I asked him. "It seems so. Don't worry, I'll take her to the infirmary" He carried her bridal style and walked away.
Gotta admit, I'm still a bit shock with what just happened.
"Is Jinhee fine?" Three girls stopped running in front of me. I put on my stone face again and nod. "Who was that?" The girl with a bang asked.
"Her friend...I'm not sure" I said coldly. A friend? I guess so, because why would he help just some stranger, am I right?
A friend.
