we're all just victims to the condition
willingly or not
and maybe that says something about us
the self aware
that we don't actively change how we operate
we don't hotwire our hearts
to fit the agenda of a vigilante
in a society in which we don't even want one
we just live knowing we are not on our own
we are plastered in ivs of a wannabe reality and faux content
and we never think to rip them out
we just keep on limping down the sidewalk
addicted to addiction of it all
until we die
still knowing what we always knew
but never truly wanting to change enough
to actually try
we are content victims
trapped in stockholm syndrome
for this truly terrifying time in which we barely exist
