*Matthews pov.*

lizzie and i got into the elevator.

she was smiling. well she smiles alot but she kept smiling.

"ok smiley, why are you smiling so much?" i asked

"i found it cute what you said to nora" she said as we walked out of the elevator

lizzie and i walked back to her room

she layed back in bed. she looked tired.

"are you tired?"

"mhm" she said and nodded

"well take a nap. its 7. why dont you just go to sleep and ill be here tomorrow morning or noon time to come get you"

"okay" she lightly smiled

"well get some sleep babe, ill see you tomorrow beautiful" i said kissing her forhead

after that i walked out to my car and drove to kays

ive always wanted to get lizzie a regular ring but now since shes finally coming home i want to surprise her also

i walked in and looked at this one case

all the rings were beautiful but this one caught my eye

lizzies favortie color is a light purple. it fit her

"need any help?" a woman asked me?

"im getting my girlfriend a ring and this one caught my eye" i said pointing to the ring.

" its on sale for 29%. so your total is 35.50" she said

i gave her the money and she got out the ring

she put it in a white nice box then put it in a kays jewler bag and stuffed it with nice tissue paper.

i took the bag and walked out to my car.

i was driving home. tired, very tired.

i got home and walked up stairs and went to bed

****NEXT DAY****

i got to the hospital and asked to see lizzie

"im sorry but shes already been discharged." the lady said

"do you know by who" i asked

" no. sorry" she said

i started walking out and called lizzie

*phone conversation*

"lizzie. where are you"

"im home. come over"

"ok be there in a bit."

i drove to lizzies.

i knocked on the door and lizzie answered.

baggy sweats and a sweatshirt i gave her.

she pulled me in and gave me a huge hug and a peck on the lips.

we were sitting on the couch watching tv and eating chips

i was eager to give her the ring but i didnt know when the perfect time was

oh well.

"hey ill be right back. stay here."

"ok"

i went to my car and got the bag

i walked back into lizzies house

"matt you-"

"i wanted to and ive been wanting to" i said

i sat down next to her and gave her the bag

when she took the box out and open the box

her face was priceless.

before she said anything or even looked up

" i love you lizzie. a lot"
