Y llamando a la gente y a sus discípulos, les dijo: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, nieguese a sí mismo, y tome la cruz, y sígame.

And calling the people and his disciples, he said to them: If anyone wants to come after me, deny yourself, and take up the cross, and follow me.

Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida , la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mi y del evangelio, la salvara.

Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre si ganaré todo el mundo, y prefiere su alma?.

Or what reward will man give for his soul.

Porque el que se avergonzare de mi y mis palabras en esa generación adúltera y pecadora, el Hijo del hombre se avergonzara también de él, cuando venga la Gloria de su Padre con los santos Ángeles.

Because whoever is ashamed of me and my words in that adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him, when the Glory of his Father comes with the holy Angels.
