Strange Magic's

The arrival

It is only two months before the grand magic games and everyone is training, even happy. Erza and Lucy have been training for half the day and decided it be best to take a break and visit some of the other guilds in there training. Grey and Natsu chose to come along as were Erza's "wishes". First place they went was Lamia Scale to see how their training was progressing. Lyon was able to "catch up" with Grey. They spent around an hour there then went to Blue Pegasus.
Once there they were greeted by Ichiyas cry of "Meeeeeeeeen!" This sent chills down Erza's neck. "My, your perfume is as lovely as ever lady Erza," Ichiya said as he approached the group. Master Bob appeared behind Ichiya and asked "What brings Fairy tail to our guild?"
"Well the grand magic games are approaching and we were just checking how far other guilds are in there training," Lucy replied as Erza was trying to keep her calm in front of master Bob.
"Why are you so worried about the games when there so far away?" asked Master Bob.
"Well isn't it better to get in as much training as possible before a big competition?" Lucy asked in response.
"We must really be going sorry to cut our visit short Master Bob," Erza interjected. They said there goodbyes and left to there final destination before heading home, Sabertooth. There they were greeted by Letcher and Frosch. Happy was especially excited to see them and the three of them ran off to play as Rogue and Sting came to greet them.
"Hey what a surprise to see you here," Sting said as he saw Natsu and Grey first then Erza and Lucy.
"We were just seeing who would be our biggest competitors in the grand magic games and so far no one seems to have started there training," Erza said in firm but kind voice reaching into the guild hall as Manirva was walking out to do a job.
"Well just to say we are already training year round it's the jobs we do," Manirva said as she walked past and out of sight.
"She has a point you know," laughed Sting as he motioned for them to come inside. The guild hall was mostly empty as they were taking jobs left and right.
"It's getting late why don't you spend the night here?" Sting asked as he looked at the setting sun. "Isn't it a long walk to Magnolia from here?" Rogue asked as he started cleaning up the guild hall.
"Yes it's late and a long way home but we still need to do our duty to the people of Magnolia and our guild members and try our best to win the grand magic games and that includes training," Erza said as she took a seat out of Sting and Rogues cleaning paths.
"Well were just concerned for our friends that's all we know your strong but you make it sound like you've been training since the end of the last games," Sting said as he passed Natsu.
"And what if we have?" Natsu asked in a slightly irritated tone trying to hide the fact that he was blushing.
"Just stay the night here? We'll even pay for your room's," Sting said as he was truly concerned especially since there were rumors circulating around town of a stranger wandering around.
"Why do you want us to stay so badly?" Lucy asked. "Well there's a rumor going-" Rogue started But was cut off."DONT!" Yukino yelled as she ran up to them "It's not true it's just people being paranoid."
"They have a right to know even if it's just a rumor" Sting said as he walked up to Yukino "and why did you take so long on your mission?"
"It was the trip that took so long Master and your right I'm sorry for my rudeness," she replied hastily. "Don't be sorry Yukino your just trying to keep your friends safe," Rogue said "anyways there is a rumor going around of someone or something going from town to town taking residence at a guild for about a week then disappearing."
"What do you mean something?" Lucy asked kind of worried at this.
"It looks human but it's magic is said to be one of a beast," Sting replied trying to calm Lucy even a little. "Guys I think we should stay here tonight who knows if it's heading here or to Magnolia we might run into it," Lucy said trying to stay calm.
"What's to worry about you got me here with you Lucy," Natsu said as he walked over and gave Lucy a reassuring hug.
"Please just stay in town at least until dawn?" Sting asked "I could never forgive myself if anything were to happen to any of you."
"Alright we'll stay but only until dawn," Erza said looking at Grey who was unusually quiet.
"Why are you looking at me?" he asked as he walked over to Erza and sat next to her.
"You've been quite thats all," she replied.
"We have two guest rooms at our place we'll get them ready as soon as we get there," Sting said as Rogue put the last of the trash to be taken out first thing in the morning.
"Ok let's go," said Rogue as he led them out of the hall and to there house as Sting stayed back to lock up. Sting never went home which was odd but they just brushed it off as he was doing work. The next morning the went to the guild hall to see if Sting was there but he wasn't Happy, Letcher, and Frosch were there looking for him but all they could find was a note. It read 'I'm sorry if I scared you guys last night but Yukino and I decided on something once you left, safe travels and Rogue please take care of the guild in my absence Sting.'
"Now what could they be doing?" Lucy asked.
"It is non of our concern as we are not part of there guild but as friends I can't but help to worry," Erza said "either way we need to head back or we will be in trouble."
"Alright I hope there safe, bye guys." Lucy said as she walked out after Erza, Grey and Natsu holding Happy.
