Dmitri sighed and his hand moved to my cheek. Warmth surrounded me while his voice, airy and filled with love, carried three words, "I love you." Leaning towards me I could feel the tilt of the bed underneath myself. His hot breath bathed my lips as he was about to close the space between us...

My eyes fluttered open to see Dmitri's sleeping face inches from mine. He held me in a tight embrace, his heat enveloping me. Scenes from my dream flashed before my eyes forcing me to travel my eyes along his lips.

Shaking my head I pulled from his embrace causing him to groan and sat up. Turning so my legs hung over the side of the bed I realized Dmitri still had a firm grip on my hand. Trying to get his hand off of mine, I lightly tugged but it was useless he wasn't going to let go. The entire time I was unable to look away from him.

His dark lashes were long and his face innocent. Dmitri's eyes rapidly moved underneath his lids and his face contorted like he was in pain from a nightmare. Was it of his past? His metallic black hair lay over his forehead messy but oddly it still looks beauti- never mind.

Sighing, as the urge returned, to erase all his pain I leaned over him and lightly begun to shake him. "Dmitri... Dmitri. Wake up! It’s just a nightmare." Sitting up quickly he hit my head with his own... knocking me back. Losing my balance I fell off the bed with a short high pitched scream... only my feet visible to Dmitri.

"I am so sorry!" he began, his voice thick, tired and panicky. Though i could hear him holding back a laugh. Reaching over he took a hold of my hand and with one clean pull... his muscle clear in his forearm, I was sitting up on the bed once again. "I really am so sorry!” Covering his mouth trying not to laugh. Though i could see th eglint of amusment in his eyes.

Brushing it off with a wave I turned to look at him properly. The pain in my shoulders would go away. "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah." was all I got out of him. No matter what I asked he acted as if there was no pain at all. There had to be some still left over. He had many bruises but the most obvious bruise was on the small of his back. I remember it from last night. It would defiantly still hurt. Smiling at a thought I stood up and pointed at Dmitri.

"Stand." I demanded jumping off the bed. With a curious expression he stood, off the bed in front of me, questioning me. "If you aren't hurt then you are proving it." A brief look of fear crossed over his face but was replaced by his usual unreadable expression. "Now turn your back to me and take off your shirt."

"If you wanted me to undress you could have just asked…" he chuckled a smirk dead center of his face. With swift pull- keeping my eyes glued to the wall behind him -he took of his shirt and turned his back to me.

Now that he couldn't see me, I let myself blush as my eyes roamed over his tense sculpted back. If I was a boy I’d look like him. I'd be so hot. I found the blue bruise, lower, on the small of his back. My hands, icy cold as usual, I placed hard pressure on it. His back arched and he jumped away failing to hold in a gasp. I laughed and noticed with my direct touch the bruise was already fading slowly on the sides.

He relaxed a little, I guess, as the amount of pain with that bruise lessened. He turned to me and I reminded myself to never look at the eyes. Sadly I forgot I was supposed to avoid those traps to. Our eyes locked and he smiled. I warm smile that spread through me as well. "See," his voice carried like wind and I had to force myself to remember this was not my dream but that led me to thoughts like,

If he did tell me he loved me how would I handle it? It was wrong wasn't it? I was with Angelo. I loved him not Dmitri. I love Angelo... not... Dmitri.

"Together we are powerful." Stepping closer with each step he took a hold of my wrist. Unable to resist I let him move my hand behind his back, placing my hand flat on his bruise once more. We stood close and heat rushed through me. Heart pounding faster with each second the space between our lips began to close. I could feel his breath against my lips. Almost...
