Behind perfect -jack

I walked down that hallway, hand in hand with my boyfriend jack, in school we were like top of the food chain, I was the head cheerleader, also best softball and volleyball player he was the quarter back On the football team, he also plays basketball and is like the star player.

We were the power couple but not everything is as happy as it seems.

"Baby please, we have to go this year" I said to jack as he rolled his eyes and continued to play his game, "I told you I can't; I'm hanging out with Zach that day" "you going to choose him over me" I asked and he rolled his eyes "Well he is my real boyfriend here y/n"

Jack was gay but he was scared to come out, he and his best friend Zach were dating and jack and I put on a front so everyone believed we were dating.

I had a few crushes but nothing I could act on because I was with jack and that all I could be with, I'm super tired of all of this.

"Dude nice throw at practice" Clayton said to jack but sat down next to me, Clayton was one of my crushes and he's really sweet. He was one of jack's football friends, jack smiled and turned back to the rest of his friends that were beside him.

"I know y'all are arguing about going to the movies with corbyn and Christina" Clayton whispered, "I also know he is dating Zach" I looked at him and put the bag of chips I was snacking on down "how"

He smirked and ran his hand up my thigh, "just don't worry about that baby" I took a deep inhale as his hand rested on my top thigh.

"Babe you good?" Jack asked and I nodded quickly "yep great" he nodded and then turned back to Zach, I rolled my eyes and turned to Clayton.

"Why dont you come over and study tonight" I said to him with a wink as he smiled and nodded, "sounds fun"

I laid in bed, looking at the pile of clothes Clayton and I have laying on the floor as I listen to the sound of him breathing, he fell asleep after we did it. His grip around my waist tighter than jack's ever was when we were first together.

His head was resting on the crook of my neck, all I could think about is 'did I just betray jack?'

"You can sleep with another man but I can't, jack where the hell is the logic in that?" I screamed/asked. Zach looked at jack "you don't even like women and you want to hold her back from doing the same thing you are" he sided with me.

"I love her though" I smiled and jack "you can love me and not put me through more hurt than you already do jack"

"Y/n" Clayton asked and I turned back to him, "yes?" I asked and he smiled when he saw me but it wasn't a lasting smile "what's wrong" I shook my head "I just somehow feel like I betrayed jack" he looked at me weird.

"Because you slept with me, or because you're in love with him" I turned to look at Clayton, I kissed him "I don't love jack, but our whole thing was he gets to be with Zach while I'm with him and I feel like what just happen is going to break that"

"You deserve to be happy too y/n, not just jack"

"You're breaking our deal off" jack asked standing up, "to be with Clayton, are you joking" he finished and I nodded, Zach smiled "it's either you let me see him like you see Zach or this deal is over" he rolled his eyes.

"Fine, then this is over" jack said and I nodded, "i figured" I grabbed Clayton's hands as we walked out "man, you never really know what's behind perfect"
