Circus Monkeys

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to the Haley's International Traveling Circus! With the world of the century is your oyster and these are our latest pearls.... The Daring Dangers!" Haley yelled cueing our appearances.

"Dan Danger!" He said as Dick jumped off the platform and caught the bar that was swinging towards him.

"Dawn Danger!" Haley said as M'gann flew past him as they flipped and switched bars.

"Diana Danger!" He said as I jumped and caught Dick's awaiting arms. We both smiled at the feeling of once again flying.

"Diane Danger!" He said as Artemis readied her bow and arrow from the ground.

"Dane Danger!" He said as Roy, too readied his bow and arrows from the other side of the circle.

"And Dean Danger!" Haley said as Connor juggled some barrel right in the center. Connor suddenly threw some barrels up causing Dick to throw me right on top of the barrels as him and M'gann let go of the bars and flew the barrels. At the same time Artemis and Roy fired their arrows just as the two emerged from the other side of the barrels. I quickly ran across the barrels and catching onto Dick's legs once he had caught the bar again. He quickly dropped me off at the other side before swinging back to M'gann.

"You will never see another trapeze act like this foaks! And all performed without a net!" Haley said but at that exact moment, Dick jumped but was a little too short and missed M'gann's hands.

"Robin!" M'gann and I cried in our heads as he fell towards the ground. I couldn't take this, not again. I looked away, not wanting to see it happen again.

"Don't blow our cover!" Dick said in our heads as he sailed towards the ground.

"But saving your life is okay?" Connor said as he threw a barrel up so Dick could grab onto it and hoisting him up to meet M'gann who was swinging back. Dick reach up only to be a little too short again, but this time M'gann used her telekinesis and raised him up slightly so that they could catch each other's hands.

"What did I just say?" Dick said in our heads making me cross my arms at his stubbornness. I would have said something but just seeing him fall brought back too many memories.

"The crowd couldn't see me use telekinesis from below. Besides." She said as they landed safely on the platform and started waving to the crowd. I quickly took the hint and joined them and forced a smile.

"I've been using it all night. I'm not exactly the acrobat you and Phe are." She said as they waved to a cheering crowd.

"Yeah neither am I right now." He said making me instantly worried. "Think I caught that twenty-four-hour bug that has been going around the circus. But the show must go on." He said.

"Put your hands together for the Daring Dangers!" Haley said as we all waved from where we were standing on the ground.

"Didn't think you would make it through." M'gann said.

"Neither did I." He answered looking at me cautiously only to met with nothing, that incident made unwanted memories appear in my head and now it was on repeat. They keep dying, the only people I ever considered real parents till Bruce came along, falling to their deaths over and over.

"Help me backstage." He said to M'gann after giving me a sad glance. I quickly walked over to his side before she could help him, still not uttering a word, not even looking at him.

"Ray. Have you seen my other torch?" A red man that I didn't recognise asked a bulky-looking dude that I assumed was Ray, as we walked backstage.

"Here. You dropped it outside the train." Ray said standing up from his previous crouching position.
