I know what you are thinking. Why would she go back to her house, even when they know about you talking to Barry? Well, the answer is that it is still my home, and I have no money so it will have to do for the time being.

I woke up to something hard hitting me in the ribs, hard. I grunted in pain as they struck again. I managed to open my eyes to find my mother standing over me with a baseball bat and an evil smile on her face.

"Get out of bed you lousy excuse for a daughter! Now I see why your f***** uncle didn't keep you yesterday, because he doesn't f****** care about you!" My mother said while striking me with the bat one more time right as I totally lost it. I grabbed her bat when she swung it at me again, causing her eyes to widen. We stood like that in silence as her eyes narrowed into a glare.

"You already sentenced your brother and uncle to their death, don't make me kill you too. We don't care whether you live or die." My mom said sneering at me.

"He may have kicked me out, but he was nicer to me then you two have ever been to me, even for a second! I will never let you hurt either of them!" I growled, while trying to restrain myself from punching her.

"What about your little friend from the circus? I bet he is the right person to kill, to break your spirit." She said smirking as my face paled.

"You will never hurt any of the ones I care about. I protect them even if it kills me!" I screamed, giving in as I punched her in the face. A sickening crack echoed throughout the room from her nose breaking. She glared at me and was about to say something but I punched her in the head, knocking her out. Dad must have heard the commotion, because he appeared at the doorway with a bottle in his hands, to check out the commotion.

"Honey! Did you finally kill that brat?" He asked swaying a little. He looked up, only to see mom on the floor with blood dripping out of her nose. He looked at me, furious.

"What did you do, you little b****?" He screamed. "I'll kill you!" He said lunging at me with his beer bottle raised above his head. I dodged him with my super speed and punched him in his head. Usually they were pretty deadly, but they were both too drunk to think straight, causing him to easily get knocked unconscious. He crumpled to the ground next to mom and I finally I realized what I had to do. I knew I was going to have to call the cops but my parents were good at what they do, so it would just be a matter of time before they get out of jail and come for Barry, Wally, my best friend, and myself. If I want to get away from them for good and for my family to be protected, Avery West would have to die. I pulled out my phone as a plan formed in my head and called 911.

"This is 911, what is your emergency?" the receiver asked. I took a deep breath before sealing my fate.

"Hello. My name is Wisp, one of the superheroes in Central City, and I'm calling about two people. A man and a woman that go by the name Mary and Rudolph West. They just attempted to murder their daughter Avery West, but I can't find her anywhere. Please send the CCPD." I say to the lady. I leaned the phone against my ear and shoulder as I packed a bag of clothes and necessities.

"Right away Wisp." She said then hung up. I shouldered my backpack, grabbed my suit and sped out of the house, to my safe house next to the school. I set my stuff down on my bed, that I had prepared for this exact situation. I changed into my suit and sped to my now cop infested house. I kept a straight face as I caught a last glimpse of my mom's head being pushed inside of the cop car.

"Wisp!" Someone called from behind me. I turned around to find the Captain walking towards me. "The receiver said you had called directly. Where were you?"
