Dick gladly showed me around the manor while Bruce filled out the adoption papers. Dick practically skipped the whole time, happy that I was staying with him. We developed quite a bond in the circus, people called us Partners in Crime, we were the pranksters of the circus.

One time we pranked Jack Haley by letting a baby elephant loose in his office. It was funny because he didn't even get mad, he just laughed and handed the elephant a peanut before shaking his head at us. But, even though he laughed, we still had to clean the elephant pens for a week, and those things stunk so bad! I mean, seriously, what do they feed them?

Dick ran to a random door in the massive hallway and opened it to reveal a huge bedroom. The walls were covered in red paint with black trim and dark wood floorings. In the corner there was a king sized bed with a black comforter with his elephant plush, Zitka, sitting on his pillows. Around the room was various Flying Grayson posters and circus souvenirs.

"This is my room, yours is across the hall." He said grabbing my hand again, practically dragging me across the hall to the door right across from his and opening the door. It looked exactly like his but white instead of red walls and had a balcony overlooking the huge garden. The bed was bare except one rolled up piece of paper on the bed. I gave Dick a confused look causing him to nod his head in that direction, telling me to check it out. After picking up the paper, I unrolled it to see a Flying Grayson's photo but with me in it flying along with Dick and his family. I ran over and wrapped my arm around his neck, giving him a hug.

"Thank you." I whispered in his ear. His arms wrapped around my waist to steady me and to hug me back.

"I thought you would want at least something from the circus. Alfred said he would take us shopping this afternoon for room decorations and clothing." He whispered, sending a shiver down my spine. We continued to hug until a cough came from the doorway. We broke apart, a faint blush appearing on both of our faces as we saw Alfred standing in the doorway with a slight smirk.

"Master Bruce is waiting downstairs for you to join him for lunch." Alfred said before exiting the room and walking towards the dining room. Dick gave me a smirk before racing down the hallway. I rolled my eyes before racing down the hallway using my super speed, stopping at the door to the dining room.

"Not fare!" Dick pouted as he came around the corner to see me leaning against the door to the dinning room.

"You're the one who challenged a speedster to a race." I said laughing at his adorable pouty face. Though when we opened the doors, our playful tone dropped as I saw the last person I want to see right now sitting next to Bruce.

"Please, come and sit. I believe we have a lot to talk about." Bruce said motioning over to the two empty spots besides him and across from Barry. But before I could sit down I was engulfed in a hug by a mass of blond hair.

"I'm sorry Avery. I should have never let Bruce try to erase your memory and I should have known about you in the closet that night. You were right I was a pathetic superhero and an even worse uncle. Please forgive me." He begged. I wrapped my arms around him, accepting the hug. He eventually let go and we all sat down at the table.

"I invited Barry to talk about your recent adoption. From now on your name will be Avery Wayne." He said sharing a smile with me.

"Actually I wanted to talk about that. I want to wipe Avery off the face of the earth. I want to kill Avery West." I said looking at the boy's shocked faces with a dead serious expression.

"I want to change my name completely and temporarily dye my hair. If my parents believe I'm dead, there is a better chance of them not going after, Wally, Barry, Iris, Dick and I." I said my head held high from my decision, but then I realized what I had just said and shrunk down.

"Wait! I'm the last person that your parents want to kill?" Dick asked shocked. I really wanted to say no, out of fear that he would leave me but I had a feeling that would only make things worse, so I nodded.

"They found out that you had become my best friend from my time in the circus. They threatened all the people I care about so when they found out about you, you also became a target. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I didn't-" I rambled but was cut off by Dick grabbing my hand.

"It is fine. I wasn't mad, just surprised. I can take care of myself you know." He said in a cocky tone making me roll my eyes.

"But they are in prison. We are all perfectly safe from them." Barry said, his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.

"A little before I found out about your identities, I practiced hacking on my mom's computer when they were both gone. I had always wondered why they were always gone most of the day and had guns around at all times. Apparently they are apart of an undercover villain group called the Light. I found some emails and pictures of several murders, plus a full list of everyone in that organization. Though before I got a better look, my parents came in and found me at the computer. That is why I have to get rid of the name Avery West. If they found out I was still alive they would search for you all, knowing I would go to one of you first. I also know, for sure, that even with the strongest security, and with the help of the Light, they will get out." I said giving a dead serious look to Bruce, who seemed to be analyzing the whole situation in his head. He eventually decided this would be a better topic discussed in the bat cave. When we got there, we all stood in front of the over sized computer.

"Ok, so. What are we going to do?" Dick asked, coming over so he was right beside me.

"First, you need to come up with a new name, superhero and regular. You will need a new costume and a new look. Do you have an idea of what you want your new name to be?" Bruce said sitting down at his computer, pulling up my file.

"I know for sure that my new superhero name is going to be Phoenix and my new name is Ava." I said feeling a hand slip into mine. I smiled a little bit but continued to look at Bruce typing on his computer.

"You two should go to keep the team busy trying to find Avery, while we figure out how to fake kill you. I also recommend telling Wally. He needs to know before you break him entirely." Bruce said not looking back at us.

"Wally has been crying all night and was still crying when I left. He blames himself for not knowing about you." Barry said with a sad face aimed in my direction. I nodded in understanding before letting go of Dick's hand and speeding into my super suit. When I came back I waited for about 10 more seconds before Robin stood beside me. We made our way towards the zeta tubes in silence before teleporting to the cave.

"Recognized: Robin B01, Wisp B08" The computer announced as the light cleared. The next thing we saw crushed my heart. The sight of Wally with bloodshot eyes and tears streaming down his face. He was leaning against M'gann while Artemis, Kaldur and Connor sat around looking sadly at their teammate. We started making our way over to the team when Wally super sped out of the room saying he needed time to think. I was about to go after him but Robin grabbed my hand and shook his head at me, saying now wasn't the time. I gave one last look where my brother had once been, before turning towards the rest of the team.

"Robin! Wisp! Please tell us that you have some news on Avery." Kaldur said walking up to us, with the team following close behind him. We both shook our heads "sadly" gaining more sad looks from the team.

"The only thing we have is that we think she is in Gotham. We are going to have check it out alone since the both of us already had to beg Batman to let Wisp patrol with me. With the no super rule and everything." Robin lied, gaining an understanding nod from Kaldur.

"We will search on the computer from here." Kaldur announced before heading over to the computer while M'gann and Artemis got on the sparring mat. We exited the cave through the zeta tubes only to appear in an ally in Gotham.

"What are we doing here?" I asked as my face quickly heated up by how close we were. Due to the small photo booth we ended up in, our chests were pressed together creating a comforting warmth between us. It also didn't help that my face was quickly heating up from the fact my lips were mere inches from Robin's.

"I-I was going to take you to a diner since we missed lunch. I'll let you change in here as I wait outside." He said sliding out of the photo booth, taking the warmth with him. I changed into the T shirt and jeans I had as back up clothing. I exited the phone booth and stood guard as Robin changed. He came out with a huge smile and hooked his arm in mine as we walked out of the ally and onto the streets of Gotham.
