Old man: Hey... Mingrui

Mingrui: Eh?

Old man: ...

Mingrui: How did you know my name? I don't even know you...

Old man: I'm not just an ordinary person, I know what happened. I know your story.

Mingrui: what do you mean? You're weird.

Old man: Here...

He sticks his hand out to give me a golden compass that also looks like a small clock.

Mingrui: What is this?

Old man: Yes, it is a golden compass.

Mingrui: I'm confused.

Old man: This golden compass allows you to time leap to the day you want to go back and make things right. Y/N died because of heart disease...you can find a solution so that she's still alive, and that's t-

Mingrui: wait wait, how did you know that Y/N died because of heart disease?

Old man: Well, i'm a close friend of Y/N's parents, i'm also a journalist. My son was suppose to be Y/N's donor...but he have a leukemia.

Mingrui: Oh... But, time leaping? How would such a thing exist??!!

Old man: I know it's hard to believe....but what will it take if you're just going to try?  Nothing, right?

Mingrui: ...

Old man: You've got nothing to say, because I'm right.

Mingrui: Shut up, why are you doing this?

Old man: I'm a journalist, remember? You know what's the reason...

Mingrui: A damn useless fake golden compass will freaking allow me to time leap? I mean....what the heck??

Old man: *puts his hand on my shoulder* I told you, nothing bad  will happen if you'll just  try.

Mingrui: So, your doing this so that the people will get interested to your newspaper or anything? Do you really think they will believe time leaping? *Chuckle*

Old man: *deep voice* you know nothing. Of course I think, i'm not that dumb to give up...unlike you.

Mingrui: How....how dare you. Let....let me think about it!

He's actually right, nothing bad will happen if I'll just try. And so, I'm even addicted to time leapings in stories and now I'm not believing? The chance came to me, I should not waste it. I also want Y/N to be back and make things right. But then, it's just useless. The same thing happens, she'll just die again.

Mingrui: If I time leap, it's just even useless. The same thing happens to Y/n-

Old man: Think about it, there's a way to overcome the fate. A heart transplant...

I quickly grab the golden compass.

Mingrui: You're right... there's a way, and I know what's the solution. Thank you...

I walked away

And go home, once I reached my house, I saw my parents watching TV and my young sister eating. I went inside my bedroom and sat on the bed and looked at the golden compass.

Mingrui: This is it. I'll see you again, Y/N. But...I forgot to ask that freaky old man how to time leap?

...I'll-....

Mingrui: PLEASE TAKE ME BACK TO THE DAY WHEN I FIRST MET Y/N!

...Nothing happened? I'll try it again.

Mingrui: PLEASE TAKE ME BACK TO THE DAY WHEN I FIRST MET Y/N!.

...this golden compass is useless! He's just lying, he's trying to make me look dumb! Ugh! Why did I-.

My vision started to get black.
