Soyeon woke up the next morning to the smell of food cooking downstairs. She made herself fairly presentable before walking downstairs in her pajamas, finding everyone already in the kitchen.

"Morning," Heejin greeted her with a smile and a mug of water. Soyeon smiled and sat down at the kitchen table, scratching her head.

Renjun and Jaemin were cooking together, the delicious smell filling the house. "Soyeon, Jeno and I are gonna go into town and grab some stuff to make sandcastles with," Jiyeon said as she sat down in front of her. Soyeon chuckled.

"Sandcastles?" she echoed. Jiyeon nodded with a smile.

Jeno came over and sat down, Jaemin and Renjun soon coming over with food. "Morning," Jaemin greeted Soyeon with a smile. Her throat got tight but she forced a small smile in return.

After breakfast, Jeno and Jiyeon left to go to town like they said, Renjun went for a run and Heejin got in the shower. Jaemin sat inside reading a book while Soyeon went outside to take a walk down the beach.

She walked along the shoreline, picking up seashells and examining them every so often. She smiled when she came across a jellyfish, bending down to take a closer look at it.

The jellyfish was pushed by the water over to Soyeon, wrapping itself around her toe. She gasped and tried to shake it off, getting herself stung.

She squealed in pain, flicking off the jellyfish. She cried out as she fell forward, catching herself with her hands, but soaking her shirt. She whimpered and pulled herself up, turning back to the house.

She called out to the only person that was guaranteed to hear her. "Jaemin! Jaemin please! I got stung by a jellyfish! Jaemin!"

He was running out of the house in no time, jogging over to her. "Where is it?" he asked. "I'll show it a sting."

Soyeon tried to chuckle through the tears falling down her face. "It...hurts," she choked out through laughter. He smiled sympathetically.

"Come on," he reached his hand out. She took it and he pulled her up, slinging her arm around his shoulders. She barely held herself up, he basically carried her back to the house.

"My shirt's all wet," she told him when they got inside. "I have to change."

"You're really gonna make me carry you up the stairs?" Jaemin asked. She looked up at him with a pouty expression and he sighed. "Don't look at me like that. It makes my heart do a weird thing."

He brought her over to the stairs and then picked her up bridal style, making her squeal slightly. He took her to the top and then put her down in front of the door. She tried to turn the knob but it was locked.

Knocking on the door, she called out, "Heejin, open the door! I need to change!"

"I'm busy!" Heejin yelled back. "I'm also changing!"

"Heejin come on!" Soyeon yelled again.

"No!" Heejin answered. "I'll be done in like five minutes and you can come in!"

Soyeon grunted and Jaemin looked at her. "She's quite the character. Come on, you can borrow one of my shirts." He brought her down the hallway to his room and sat her down on his bed.

He grabbed a t shirt from his suitcase and handed it to her. "Where am I supposed to change?" she asked.

"Here," he answered. "I'll just turn around." He faced the wall and Soyeon swallowed, looking at the back of his head.

"Don't turn around," she told him.

"Don't tempt me," he answered almost immediately. She sighed and pulled her shirt over her head, throwing it over to him before quickly pulling on the other one.

"Done," she said. He picked up her shirt off of the floor and turned around.

"You look cute in my shirt," he smirked.

"Shut up."

Jaemin laughed and picked her up again to bring her to the bathroom, looking through the cabinets after seating her on the toilet. He grabbed a pair of tweezers and then turned on the bath water. He turned back around and looked at her foot.

"This is gonna hurt," he warned. He began plucking visible tentacles, making more tears fall down her face. She put her head back, pressing her lips together to keep from crying out. He took one of her hands and put it on his shoulder. "Squeeze," he told her.

Soyeon did as he said and squeezed when the pain was too much. He didn't even flinch from the pain, just finished pulling out the tentacles. He looked up at her, making sure she was okay.

"Sorry," he apologized. She shook her head to tell him not to worry about it. "Come here." He brought her over to the bathtub, placing her foot in the water.

The water was hot on her foot, but after a few seconds of squirming, the pain eased and she relaxed, taking a deep breath as she placed her head against the wall.

"You okay?" Jaemin asked. Soyeon nodded.

"It feels better. How did you know what to do?" she asked.

"When I was little, my family and I used to come to the beach all the time, and it was practically tradition that I would get stung by a jellyfish every time," Jaemin replied. She smiled.

"Thanks for this. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had called out to Heejin instead," Soyeon said. Jaemin chuckled at the thought.

He sat next to her on the tub and moved some hair off of her shoulder, looking at her features. Soyeon's heart began to pound as she stared back at him, trying to keep her breathing steady.

"You're confusing me," she practically whispered.

"That makes two of us," he replied just as softly. She reached out to touch his face, tracing her thumb along one of his cheekbones. He closed his eyes at her touch and leaned into her hand, making her heart beat faster.

When he opened his eyes, his intentions were clear as he leaned closer to her, the space between them decreasing. Soyeon surprised herself when she began leaning back, the thumping in her ears getting louder.

They were centimeters away from each other's lips, their noses touching when there was a knock on the door. "I'm done!" Heejin called out. "You can come into the room now."

Soyeon was the first to pull away, her heart racing. Jaemin sighed in discouragement and stood up. "I'll get you a towel," he said. He walked out of the bathroom, giving Heejin a small smile as he walked by her.
