Sometimes you take a step backwards. You wake up one morning and the world feels like it's closing in, your lungs feel like they're collapsing and your chest is heavy with the weight of your emotions.
Some days, recovery feels impossible. It feels a million miles away, and all you want to do is lie down and sleep.
At times, no matter what you do you can't stop the shaking of your hands or the constricting of your throat, and the tears won't stop flowing until you're gasping so hard you can't breathe.
The road to healthy is never smooth and some days it feels like you're taking a never-ending detour through a town laden with anxiety and sadness but it is important to remember that every journey has its setbacks, and despite them all you are still, and always have been, travelling in the right direction.
