Meeting your soulmate is not always the way you imagined. It is not always in a sudden meeting of eyes, or the fleeting touch of hands as you both reach for the same book in the library. Often it is messy, and chaotic. It's crying together in the early hours of the morning, or talking about your broken home. It's laughing so hard you snort water from your nose and turning to see that the other person is watching you, a smile across their face. It's the moment when you finally understand that things are alright as long as you're in their presence. It's seeing the worst parts of someone and realising that despite it all you can't imagine life without them.
