I was tired by the time I returned from town. Travis helped Osomatsu with the bags, four in total, of clothing from my tailor. On the bright side I had lunch to look forward to. I went ahead to go outside considering lunch wouldn't be long. There I saw Jyushimatsu and Todomatsu in gardening clothes.

Smart idea considering the work they're doing. I look around at the flowers, stopping by the sunflowers and lilies.
Both were growing so beautifully. I crouch down and take in the scent of the lilies. "Aren't they pretty?" I hear behind me and turn to see Jyushimatsu. I nod and stand up "they are. You and Todomatsu are doing a good job." I say noticing the amount of dirt that was on his clothes. "I guess you don't mind getting dirty. Do you?" I ask and he nods. "I don't mind!" I smile at the loud voice. I wasn't put off because of the amount of loud voices I already have to deal with.
"I like your dress by the way. Yellow is my favorite color." Quieting his voice and I was upset he did for some reason. "Thanks. You don't have to be quiet." I say and he looked surprised. "You mean you don't mind?" He asks softly and I shook my head. "Not at all. I'm use to loud voices." He smiled wide "Okay!" I giggled softly "oh and I love yellow as well."
He blushed softly "really?" He asked and I nod. "It's a beautiful color." I say poking his yellow long sleeve shirt. He smiled that wide smile and laughs "I didn't think we had that in common! I wonder what else we have in common!" He says and I nod in wonder.
"Y/n!" I hear my mom call so I turn in the direction of her voice calling back. "Over here! I'll be over in a bit!" Once that was said I turn to Jyushimatsu and wave goodbye. He waves back as I walk away to where my parents were sitting, with Osomatsu beside them, to have lunch.
"Todomatsu and Jyushimatsu have done a good job." Mom says and dad nods. "They have. I think y/n made the right choice picking them. Y/n?" He says as I space off looking at Jyushimatsu as he worked. The boy was surprisingly strong. I felt myself blush before I finally heard my dad. I turn around immediately.
"Yes? What is it?" I ask and my mother laughs "your father asked if you were excited for the dance." She says before taking a sip of water. "Oh! Yeah I'm excited...but not about the suitors." I mumble the last part but my mom heard it, of course she did. But she didn't press on. We continue to talk about the dance and other things of importance like.
"Uncle Garroth and Laurence are adopting! Really?!" I ask with a beaming face and smile. My parents nod and I heard Osomatsu laugh. "Yes, though they aren't giving anymore details to anyone. I hope it's another girl." My dad says and my mom nods in agreement. I cross my arms playfully "Well I hope it's boy this time. Not that I don't love Lilith" I say and my parents laugh.
After lunch was dance preparations. That should be fun I guess.
And so after lunch I went to the ballroom to watch everything get setup. The ones setting up were Travis, Garroth, and all the brothers. My parents were "discussing work" in their room. Yeah that's what they said, but I'm not stupid nor naive to not know what they were really doing. That said I don't want to think about it.
I watch as everyone put up decorations and set up tables (for food). Except Jyushimatsu who was setting up the flower decorations so I walk over to him. "Hi Jyushimatsu." I greet standing beside him. "Oh, hello again princess!" He says in that loud voice. "You can call me y/n." I say giving a smile and he blushed. "Y-You sure?" He asks and I could hear the nervousness in his voice.
I nod and look at the flowers, an assortment of sunflowers, lilies, and even daisies. "Flowers are beautiful, aren't they?" I ask and saw Jyushimatsu staring at me from the corner of my eye. "Yeah..beautiful." I blush lightly because a part of me felt like he was talking about me. I took one of the lilies and took in the scent of the flower and sigh. I look up to see Jyushimatsu looking at me with softened eyes and a small smile.
"Hold on." He says taking the lily from my hand and tucked it behind my ear. "There now that's pretty." He says softly with a smile. I blush and giggled softly. Then there was a silence between us. Not awkward, a comfortable silence.
"Excuse me, Princess?" I turn to see Osomatsu and his brothers. "Yes?" I ask and they smile. Though they seemed nervous. "May we borrow Jyushimatsu for a sec? We'll be right back." Karamatsu asks and I nod. "Go ahead." Before I could finish the sentence they pull him out of the ballroom. I was a little disappointed but went over to help Travis and Garroth.
