Expelled

It was a fine summer day and I was outside together with the kid I was babysitting. She was running around the playground and I watched amused as she was jumping around with joy. I laughed at her silly behavior, until it suddenly became really cold. The clouds became dark and it looked like it was going to rain. I called the small girl, picked her up and started walking towards my house.

I was under a small bridge when there suddenly fell a very familiar sadness over me. Too familiar. I turned around and the terrifying figure of a Dementor towered over me and the small girl. 

I pushed the girls head into my neck and took out my wand. I closed my eyes and thought back to the day Draco and I shared our first kiss. "Expecto Patronum." I whispered and the four silver animals sprouted out of my wand. The Dementor fled and I let my Patronus disappear. 

I sat the small girl down and looked at her. "Close you eyes for a moment." She did as I told and closed her eyes. I pointed my wand at her. "Obliviate." The tip of my wand started glowing and I removed the memory of me using magic. I stopped and put my wand away. "Open your eyes." I whispered. She opened them and smiled. I picked her up again and walked home with her.

I entered my house and brought her up to the guest room, gave her some paper and crayons and went back downstairs, preparing myself for the worst. And as I expected, an owl flew in and dropped a letter. My father looked at the letter suspicious and then looked up at me. 

"I have used magic to protect me and Maggie from a Dementor." I explained. He nodded and the letter flew up and came to life. 

Dear Mrs. Hydra.

The Ministry has received intelligence that at 5:44 this evening you performed the Patronus Charm in the presence of a Muggle. As a clear violation  of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery you are hereby expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Hoping you are well, Mafalda Hopkirk.

The letter turned back into it's original state and fell to the ground as I looked at it helpless. "What do I do, dad?" I asked, looking up at him. "I'll make sure you'll get a hearing. You didn't do anything wrong, you protected yourself and Maggie from a life threatening situation." He assured me. I nodded and let my self fall onto the couch. 

"Why did this have to happen?" I asked myself. 

"Sweetheart, don't think to much of it. Everything will turn out fine. Go get Maggie, I think Dobby is putting the dishes on the table." He said, looking into the hallway towards Dobby. I nodded and stood up.

After Maggie had left, my dad had written a letter to the Ministry, explaining the situation and asking for a hearing. I was packing my trunk, because dad and I would leave any minute to Grimmaulds Place. Grimmaulds Place was Sirius's house and the meetings for the Order of the Phoenix were held there. I was excepted into the Order of the Phoenix around two weeks ago, on my fathers request. Hermoine and the Weasley's are all there. When they heard that I was excepted into the Order of the Phoenix and was allowed to be in some meetings, they tried desperately to get information out of me. But everyone remembered me that I couldn't tell them anything.

My father called me and I rushed down the stairs with my trunk in hand. We would go there to drop off my stuff and leave afterwards to get Harry. He, too, was attacked by Dementors and got expelled. We would get him and take him to Grimmaulds place and the hearing. 

There was one thing I was happy about, I had a witness. One of our neighbors, the McMore family was around when it all happened, or lets say, the parents were around. They were wizards as well, so if the Ministry didn't believe me, I could call for help.
