All she wants to do is cry.
She's messed up inside.
She even considered "die".
She wants to go and hide.

The poor girl's dad was gone.
A couple times a year he's seen.
She lives with her mom.
Everywhere is where she's been.

This time he's gone too far
This time he blew his cover.
He's steaming as she leaves in the car.
He wasn't man enough to love her.

His next strike is through a text.
He shouts and screams and makes a mess.
She can't help but guess what's next.
She shouldn't of been thought of as any less.

She was brave as she said no.
She was courageous as she set the line.
She was strong as he let her go.
She won't falter next time.

She's different from the rest.
Always alone and away.
Always second best,
But in spirit it's not that way.

Yes, she's a woman.
Yes, she's a girl.
She's not any less than a man.
She's a perfect pearl!

Don't even try to argue,
Don't try to say one word,
'Cause every girl that's out there
Is then gonna make you hurt.

We aren't the lesser people,
We aren't another kind.
We're just like all of you
And if you look you'll find

We're strong and mighty and beautiful

This is our mankind.
