Saiyo slammed you to the floor. You screamed feeling your eyes scrambling around as your head throbbed in every crevice. Tears shot out on your face, on the floor, and on Saiyo's arm when it snaked its way around your throat. His free hand secured your wrists in one successful swipe. You choked rigorously, spewing sliva onto him and the carpet.
"S-S-S-Sai...yo!" You blinked as you tried to regain control of your arms. Saiyo stared straight through you. His gaze full of contempt and certainty.
Pinning your wrists above your head, he silently spoke. "You should have known. You shouldn't have found out..." You fumbled around with words as you saw the dark shrouds in his dialated eyes.
It was only a matter of time until he tore at you like he did Arthur and Roy but he didn't. He simply sat, leaned over, hovering a couple of breaths away from your face. He stayed there inspecting you for a few short moments before shuffling back up again. Hands still gripping your wrist.
Your heart calmed a little bit as he moved away. Not entirely. Your head was still rocking around along with your emotions and your muscles ached from the struggle from a fight you obviously couldn't win. It was a daring act to wriggle even in the slightest so you held your fear in as much as you could.
After intensely scanning you, he slowly released your wrists and transitioned to hugging you in an awkward half-sit position. You were waiting as patiently as you could to just sigh in reflief. However, Saiyo didn't seem willing to let go.
"Don't worry " he said, rubbing circles on your back. They were supposed to be soothing.
"I'll always be here to protect you-" he sniffled to his words. Perhaps he was a bit emotional from thinking back to the incident. You wanted to comfort him. You truly did but you were constantly reminded of how he chose to deal with his grief and soon you just couldn't bear to even reach out a pinkie to him. Instead you mumbled a few words in reassurance. Nothing more.
"You are okay... you... are fine."
Saiyo lifted his head up to suck back his tears. He gave you a small smile before nuzzling back into your neck.
Meanwhile, in a place relatively far, Kiriyu paced back and forth. His feet stomped on the carpet in a sinister march. He had just bitten his last nail off and had resorted to peeling off his hang nails, in which he had created himself by scraping his hands on his dining table to reduce stress.
He was completely scared out of his mind for Y/N and more or less himself but he even more for the fact that he was helpless in the situation. In what way could he rescue her and defend her, himself, and his friends from Saiyo's wrath. Sure, he could call the police but Y/N would rather just deal with it herself. If only there had been a way to ensure Saiyo's insecurites. If only Roy and Arthur were in a state that didn't prevent them from working to together to end all of this.
All Kiriyu could think of was the bad, the ugly, and the possibility of never seeing Y/N again. He had to somehow think of a solution fast or she was going to be gone forever.
