They had spent the last three days at Yavier's house. It was homey to say the least. IT had a nice interior, though the exterior was as bland as everything else at the spire. Yavier's house had wooden floors and a library, where Lilly spent most her time while Jason trained with Yavier. It was almost ridicules to believe they still hadn't been summoned yet.
Yavier had received a note the day after their arrival, but he didn't disclose anything to either Jason or Lilly. Yavier was looking over the letter now, it bothered him more than he could say. Ralh couldn't be located, he was in-between known realms. In other words, he was in a blind spot. There weren't many of them. Yavier knew well enough that Ralh was sitting tight trying to recover from his injuries. He was a slimy one. He knew when to fight and when to get out of dodge.
Yavier clenched his fist. Jason peaked around the corner watching Yavier crush the letter he received. Jason gave a soft tap on the door. His clothes were fresh and clean, unlike when they had been traveling. He was ready for the next lesson.
"So, uh, no training today?" Jason asked.
"You wish." Yavier called back before turning around.
It was funny for Jason to see the man without his armor on. He had almost always worn it when they were traveling, except when they were sleeping. Jason watched his master walk past him towards the training room. The teen became loose on his feet as he followed.
Lilly watched the too pass by as she stuck her nose into yet another book. At this point Jason was pretty sure she had already ready all the books in the library. It would be a surprise for the young man to even think that she had eaten, that's how engrossed Lilly had become in her studies. She was addicted, that's the only conclusion Jason could come to. It was starting to become unhealthy.
"Alrgiht, so. Today we are just going to practice hand-to-hand." Yavier replied, as the two took their spots at the mat.
Each mage knelt on the mat bowing their heads before they began. It would have been just another typical day, except this time they were interrupted. Jason glanced up, a rule Yavier had slapped him for breaking last time.
"Jason, what did I say about distractions?" Yavier said, without moving his head or even opening his eyes.
Jason sighed, as he noticed the two figures approaching. It was Mitz and her master. Jason was secretly hoping to see Mitz again, so he could kick her ass. However, when he saw the two again, he only felt annoyed. He wished they would just leave.
"Master Grey." The man called out, "Your pupil owes mine an apology."
"I don't think that will be necessary, master?" Yavier trailed off, as to ask his name.
"Landor, Alix Landor." The man spoke with a bow. "And I beg your pardon."
"My apprentice was wrongfully treated, I will, under no such circumstance have him apologies to you, or your understudy." Yavier said softly but firmly.
"Is that so?" The man continued.
"Is it really worth fighting me over?" Yavier said, head still towards the ground.
"I refuse to be insulted such." Master Landor answered.
"I'm preoccupied with a lesson, if you could be so polite as to wait for me to kick your ass." Yavier meditated.
"What insolence. I have half the mind to report you." Master Landor spoke up.
"Jason." Yavier said, "Please leave me and Master Landor to dispute our differences."
