Cheers!

Falling free in a pit of misery,
Desperately clawing my way to sanity.
There's a fog setting on a once hopeful kid,
He doesn't deserve it, he doesn't deserve this.
Spiraling in a torrential terror,
Panicking, consumed by the horror.
There's a curse placed on a once optimistic kid,
He doesn't deserve it, he doesn't deserve this.

At night, when the apocalypse looms closer,
He shuts his eyes, and dreams away his wonder.

I know it's not the end of the world,
I'll pick myself back up, singing cheers to my fall.
I know it's not the end of the world,
In my fate I'll trust, I'm supposed to feel small.
Because, I know, that there's something after this,
Something so perfect, maybe even bliss.
If hellfire burns the seas to ashes,
If my earth rips in two and destroys the masses,
I'll know a change will come, and the clouds will move far from the sun,
I know it's not the end of the world,
It's not the end of the world.

Dilated and waiting for a new moon to rise,
Manifest new energies, grow out of these sad eyes.
There's a fog lifting on a once broken kid,
He deserves it, he deserves this.
Illuminating and sparkling new hope on the horizon,
His eyes are glowing, a reverse of the poison.
There's a curse being broken on a once pessimistic kid,
He deserves it, he deserves this.

At light, when the apocalypse recedes in its steps,
He relaxes, and takes a relieving deep breath.

He's doing better than he ever was,
Never not falling in love.
Writing his pain away,
Smiling and laughing today.
He found a safe place to land,
Happiness took his hand.
There's no fear or irrationality,
Some happy tears and a newfound liberty.
The hellfire may have once consumed his earth,
But it wasn't the end of his world,
He changed his world with, simply, his words.
