Ok so I know some people think spirit Animals are bogus, And maybe they're, but I'm going to tell you about my experience.
First I didn't go to a professional, I didn't consult any Native Americans or ask anyone who had already gone on a quest to discover there own. I listened to on did the YouTube videos that you use for meditation. The guy talking in the video started by telling me to get comfy then count my breathing and set the scene, he explained what he needed to then he stopped talking. I was just about to turn to see my animal. My brother barged into my room telling like he usually did, about a charger ( if my memory services). So I started over again.
I was standing on the edge of a forest, there was a for out and I could hear the ocean near by, waves crashing. I stood there for a mintue, I could feel what ever I was about to turn around to see standing behind me watching. When I finally turned around it was a large silver- tan lynx, with pale eyes that seemed green blue and brown. Typical cat eyes. It didn't say anything but I could hear it in my mind telling me to fellow as it turned and heading towards the beach. It walked besides my slightly ahead, leading me towards the water. When I was about to step into the yellow sand of the beach the lynx turned leading my along the grass sand land to the right. You know when your walking in it feels like forever but you don't mind? That's what the line to the bunny ,( rabbit?) Burrow. It was shallow, and I could see the 4 bunnies (rabbits? ) asleep. The lynx sat next to it staring at the bunnies, I could hear the voice radiating in my head. Not quite male or female but powerful none the less. It told me about valence and how I needed to kill the bunny or they would eat all the grass. I remember refusing saying I didn't think I could do it. The lynx was sympathetic, and said something like if I couldn't do it now it was ok but I had to keep the valence somehow. The it dragged the smallest runt from the den and over to me, it told me to kill it again and I picked it up. I held it for a second then let the Lynx kill it. Then I throw the carcass I to the ocean. The lynx then started walking, not saying see The to should fellow or not, but I didn't want to be alone, so I followed the lynx. We again walked for what seemed like a long time.
We came to an inlet, water flowing to a river stream. I could see a turtle swimming up the in the inlet onto the beach. I asked why I needed to see this, and the lynx response something to the effect of the turtles always looking for adventure but being loyal to its home going back to always lay its eggs. The lynx then lead me up a small diet path following the river before it wined closer and into the woods. Just far enough so I could only just see the river still. Then the lynx paused in front of a large tree, on top perched a bird of prey. I'm not sure what type of bird, I could only tell it was a bird of prey. I asked the lynx why it showed me this, its respond was something about the bird being free to go anywhere and that it only took what it needed, even though it could take as much as it wanted.
Again I followed the Lynx, the path lead up a steep mountain and when we got to the top there was a flat spot and a cave. The lynx sat its back to the cliff. I asked what I was suppose to do here. The lynx looked me dead in the eye, you can go home now. I started going to the cave, then I turned looking at the lynx eyes again . I could see its shape shift, rapid between car types and animals, but when I looked at anything but the eyes it was just a lynx. I asked if I'd see it again.
When you need me, was the reply.
I didn't want to leave but I turned back to the cave. In the back k was a soft blue light. I walked to it, slower and slower as I got closer to the portal. When I was almost in the middle of the orb I glanced back and saw the Lynx sitting watching me. A silent guard in away.
When I woke up it had been 3 and a half hours. The video was only an hour and a half long. So I got up, stretched and walked down stairs to go outside and tell my brother and friends about my dream.
Before you say I'm crazy for believing this. I looked up the symbolism behind all the animals I saw in my dream. And what the Lynx told me lined up with the symbols, meanings I had no prior knowledge of. It doesn't count for much but, I think the Lynx might just be my real spirit animal. On a side note I have a week off so I'm going to have time to write. I'm almost done a new chapter of "The girl in the mask" and I have started the new chapter for "The Run Away and The trouble Maker"! So stay tuned!
