Matt's POV
As I exit the bathroom, I find Angela sitting on my bed with her top on admiring how I look. "How was the shower?"
I smile at her, "Good, I needed that." I pull out a pair of black sweats from the wardrobe and wear it. I shove my jeans that were left on the bed to the chair and join her on the bed as I pick up my phone off the desk.
When I check my phone my face drops. "Oh shit, I've had 5 missed calls and 4 text messages from Rowan."
Angela laughs. "You'd think he's your girlfriend, not me. What does he want?"
"I think it's to pay for the damaged items. Let me call him." I begin to call him to which he answers straight away. "Hey bro you good?"
"Matt, what have you been doing all this time? I've been reaching out to you for ages. I thought you were just going to chill at your house." He sounds stressed.
"I am at home. I just got caught up in something," I smirk at Angela who laughs quietly at me. "Did you find out what you need?"
"Yeah, I found them on Amazon, and I sent you their links. There are only four things, including the glass table."
"Ok, I'll buy them. I'll send the order numbers afterwards if you want to track them."
"Ok thank you, bro. I honestly can't thank you enough. You're helping me out way too much."
"It's fine don't worry about it, bye."
Rowan ends the call, then I get off the bed, shoving my phone in my pocket. "What does he want you to buy?" Angela asks.
"I don't have a clue." I pick up my laptop from the desk and sit up on the bed resting the laptop on my legs. My laptop is linked to my phone so Rowan's messages come up on the screen, I open up all of the website links and find my eyes widening, "Jheeze."
"What? What is it?" Angela looks over to the laptop and looks as shocked as me. "£500 for that small table. Couldn't he find a cheaper one? What the fuck?"
I look at Angela and see her angered expression and smile. Her reaction to this is cute. "He probably tried but couldn't find a cheaper version of it."
"Bullshit. I doubt he even bothered." She mumbles.
I get up and look for my wallet in my jean pockets. "Eh, I'm sure I left it in here."
"What's wrong?" Angela asks.
I search through the pockets again. "Erm, I can't seem to find my wallet."
"Isn't that it on your desk?" I look at where her finger is pointing and see my wallet at the side of the desk. I shake the confusion out of my head and pick up my wallet then sit back on the bed. "So you're actually going to buy it?" Angela asks.
"Yeah, I did promise Rowan. It's fine anyways. I could have it worse."
I add the item to my shopping basket along with the other items such as a mirror, a lamp and a boat decoration. Then I take my card out of the wallet and begin to pay for it with next day delivery to Rowan's home. After that, I text Rowan the order numbers to confirm that I've bought everything.
I place my laptop to the side then Angela with her eyebrows raised turns to me. "I don't understand why you've done all of this for Rowan. You don't owe him any of this."
"Yeah I know, but I feel bad for the guy. It's his first party, and obviously, he didn't realise the consequences. Plus your brother was giving him a hard time."
