Stupid...
Drugs...
Can't move...
Going to die...
Uah! My heart jumped. It was just a nightmare... nothing real. However, the only real thing about the dream was that I'm still stuck in the Kymari's place. If I'm not mistaken, another day passed since my sunburst leaf rollercoaster.
The two bowls got refilled once again, and my location still strayed in the dirt tray. What was different this time, is the cloth is gone. I could clearly see outside that it was a sunny day.
Much to my luck, the rays didn't come even close to my prison. They were just a few inches out of the window. Speaking of windows, I could finally examine this place.
This looked to be a living room, perfect for the spaghettis' giant size. They dwarfed us by a milestone. I brought my gaze to a round table in the middle, surrounded by eight chairs. There were two end tables at the walls. My cage is on one of them coincidently. Two couches are present here to, one on the left side of me and vice versa.
On the right of the window was a door, probably where I heard that ring yesterday.
"Calling all slime cats! Calling all slime cats! This is Midnight, and I have to tell you something really important," a voice rang in my head.
Since when did we get mind link?
"This is the new electrical link, discovered right now! To speak with one another, concentrate on who you wish to speak with. Then literally speak your mind to them! Note that our pupils change to light red when doing so."
Midnight's voice echoed away, sounding oddly mischievous. Welp, better try this thing out after I eat. Crawling over to the sources of energy, I hesitantly sucked both dry. The fruits were the same from yesterday, which is a relief. However, the water tastes slightly different. He probably didn't drug it this time, much to my pleasure.
Now who to talk to... this might be hard since that sneaky black spaghetti hair behemoth is coming out from another room I can't see. He calmly walked over to the couch on my left and sat in the middle of it.
He had to choose that one, but I guess it would make sense. If I was taking care of a creature I didn't know much about I would try to sit close to it. I examined him carefully. There was one detail I hadn't seen before about him, and that's the horizontal scar on his forehead. One of the battles he had fought must had been eventful.
There was a laptop in his hidden hand, and took it out to do something. Whatever those symbols were on the screen, it made him grumble slightly.
I kept a close eye on him, since I can't do much now.
Seika's POV:
Ugh...
Where am I?
My brain's fuzzy and whatever I was seeing looked blurry. I can't be back at the lab. It got destroyed by the white aliens nine years ago. But then why is this place so similar?
Twisting my neck, I found my tail wrapped in a gray cast. Now I can't fly correctly, but it's better than a broken wing. It'll be hard to do the Morning Song now that I'm bounded here...
Hold on, I had made a deal to someone to camp out at our park to watch...
Katy!
I had completely forgotten about her in these moments! Why am I so selfish. I focused on her mental picture and called out, "Katy? Where are you?"
Nothing responded. Oh right, her species can't use the mind link-
"Kymari cage thing," her voice interrupted my thoughts. Did she suddenly figure it out?! Wow! "One of us figured out how to use this, but it makes our pupils go red."
"Coolio! Are you ok?" My excitement got sent down to her. I felt a mental flinch from Kaleidoscope.
"Yeah. I'm here because I got high on... sunburst leafs," she groaned.
How does someone get high on those? I mean the dragonets are fine with several berries and... me and my forgetful scaly butt. Her species is completely different than mine in almost every way. The only similarities I know of so far is that we both used to be humans. Even the way we got transformed was different!
"Are you ranting to yourself about our differences?" Katy interrupted my thoughts. I could mentally feel her hawks-eye watch, despite us being in different parts of the city. "Because it's boring to listen to while I study this Kymari on his laptop."
"Oh.. heheh... I-I have a reason for it..." I stuttered on the mind link.
She laughed. "Sure you do. Your pride is what makes you most of who you are."
Poop! She knows my secret!
My stomach suddenly growled, demanding food. From the stories of other dragonets experiences, there should be some bowls of food here somewhere. I bopped my snout around wherever the smell of fruit lingered, which happened to be on my left.
I stuck my head in one of the bowls, expecting fruit. To my surprise it was instead water, but I still took a long drink. Moving myself left I found the bowl containing diced fruit. Without any thoughts I inhaled all the food in one sitting. Aren't I Kirby today? I feel like a bottomless pit!
"Seems that way to me," Katy came into my mind.
"Am I saying all my thoughts out loud?"
"Kinda," I could feel her sending some confusion, but it quickly turned into shock. "You're fading away Seika."
Hmm..? Was my food drugged because of my tail..? Probably. I felt myself sink into sleep like an anvil dropped into the sea...
