It's been three days, and luckily the fog decided to come recently, as in three minutes ago. The mist is unusually heavy though...

I stretched myself against the subterranean walls, only because it felt good. Have no idea if we have muscles, cause so far it's just slime slime and more slime. Making quiet squeals out of excitement I dashed out into the outside world.

The smell of water hit my nose calmly, turning myself invisible as well as illuminating my emotions. At first I was nervous about this, but now I'm pumped up!

Glancing around, no Kymari were in sight. Odd... oh yeah they probably don't have a favoring to mist!

Getting curiosity pulse through my heart, I shifted into flying form and took to the city. Their buildings are a little on the softer shape, being rounded at the edges. The humans of the past would be very confused at why they took that route.

Coming closer to one of their complexes, I could smell homemade cookies. They must have a variant of durian, because something in their cooking smells like crap.

I pivoted to a window, just open enough to let the smell waft around. Carefully peering inside, a female Kymari was frosting something shaped like a square, but smells like a gingersnap. Near the operation... a durian... of coarse they saved those spiky things to eat.

Never have I had one before, and probably never will. Teeth don't exist with us, only tongue straws. I have had dragon fruit before, and we can eat them cause of their juiciness.

She didn't notice my presence, and neither did the two kids waiting. One of them is the one that ran towards us, and the other might have been behind the tree.

Hold the nonexistent phone, what is that glorious scent? It isn't anything I had ever smelled before, maybe cause we never go into the city. Whatever it is, it's coming from a planter on the other side of their complex.

I quickly got up and flapped over there. That sweet paradise is just too enticing. Coming to the planter, there are these vines hanging over, with small orange berries. Taking a tiny sip at one...

That tastes like crap! Maybe it's the leafs?

Yeah, that berry doesn't have the paradise flavoring I was hoping for. However, the leafs that adorn the vine are what I had smelled.

This must be our catnip, cause I feel a little too playful now. Must... resist... CATNIP LEAF VINE THINGY... god damnit. I didn't realize that I had been taking all the liquids out of five leafs.

"Hey! Who are you to-"

I froze.

Who said that in my head?!

Peeking over the vines, my heart kept rising and falling.

It was a dragonet...

They have silver scales, the underside of them lighter than the rest. Frilly ears adorn their head much like my species, and even better that they're the same size as me. They have slit eyes, reminding me of cats, and a tail covered in more of the same silver scales.

What spelled dragonet instead of mini drake was their wings, neatly folded onto their back.

My ears flattened out of fear, making me slowly hide behind the vines. The dragonet did the same thing, making hisses as they went.

"I'm not gonna hurt you..." I whimpered.

They responded with a few chirps, hesitating when I didn't say anything back.

"You can understand me?" I asked, hopes getting high.

"Yes, I can,"

So THATS where the mind voice was from! At this moment I was internally fangirling, or whatever you call excitement bouncing within yourself. We both came up to each other, still on edge but more confident.

"Wow... what's your name? I'm Katy,"

"I'm Seika. Used to be some creature called a human-"

"So did I! But then this alien ship beam hit me along with several other people and we became these,"

They stared at me, wide-eyed. So far I'm half convinced that this dragonet is the Seika that went missing. They nodded and continued,

"As I was saying, I used to be human. Then when I was walking home these bastards knocked me out. I wake up and now I'm a dragon!" I could hear their aggression through the mind voice.

"Ouch... say, did you go to school with a random students nickname floating around called Kaleidoscope?"

"Hmm, oh! Yes I did! I heard that her real name was... are you that Katy?"

"Yep. Assuming that you're that Seika? The genderless one?"

"Yeah, I'm genderless. Anyways... where do you guys live? So both of us can stay in touch,"

Seika studied my transparent appearance, especially looking at my eyes. I felt myself hesitate, but eventually I managed to say,

"Over there, in Florence's Garden. You?"

"The main park. What a coincidence that we ended up so close to each other!"

"Yeah! But if I may ask... do those berries taste good to you?"

They looked at me like I was stupid. With a sass flick of their ear they answered,

"Yes! They taste like bliss! They taste bliss to you too-"

"No they don't. I'm sure glad you like them but they taste like trash. The leaves however, I have a fancy for,"

"So it's like catnip for you?"

"Yeah... maybe we should meet somewhere more... secluded... because the spaghetti people are giving me the creeps,"

Seika burst into laughter, both in the mind voice and with her actual voice. Maybe it was the nickname I gave them? Probably.

"Ooooooh..... I love that nickname! I totally agree with you Katy... lets meet at your place?"

"Hmm... sure! But first come here, cause our homes are pretty hard to find."

"Agreed. See you tomorrow!"

"Bye bye!"

They took to the air and zipped back whatever way they came. In this case it's behind them. I had been in flying form this entire time, so I just leaned back, and glided around the building.

Slurping five leafs had made me very content, and maybe a tad-bit high. I twirled midair, diving down to the street level. The Kymari mainly walk around, but sometimes, they use flying ship thingies.

Taking a left at an intersection-

Ow!

I smashed right into a Kymari's face! Also, I'm stuck. Judging from the amount of armor, this is a dude. He took an unarmed hand, and peeled me off of him by the scruff. I just dangled there, slowly shifting into simple form. He took out a camera device thingy and took a picture, judging by the small ding coming from it.

After a few long seconds, he crossed the hazy street and set me against a low branch. Then he went back the way he came, but only to a nearby bench. He looked out to the side, interested in something else. I took the chance to make it back underground, where it was safe.

Now to meet at the spot without getting high...
