"Hey! Yellow clod!" Seika hissed to the alien animal thing getting dangerously close to my branch.
It huffed, pinning down its six ears. Whatever it was really needed to hear things, or it wouldn't have six of those. It mostly resembled a fox with puke yellow fur, and bug-like eyes.
A whistle caught its attention, and the creature ran back to a Kymari. He cooed. "Silly Sniala! Why are you bothering that resting fire lizard and slime cat, huh?"
What I assumed to be Sniala whined, then made a few metallic barks. Like a robot. It leaped onto his head and they continued along the park path.
We looked at one another. "What the heck was that thing?"
"Ask my blood memories." Seika snorted. "They say the clod is a... oh my god, a kmansnaakddnaseewqaxcab."
"How did you even pronounce that?! And why does it have such a long name?"
"It's pronounced k-man-snack-did-na-see-wax-cab, and my cousin made the kmansnaakddnaseewqaxcab. It lives somewhere out in space acting like a thug."
"Stop saying that!"
"Why? Kmansnaakddnaseewqaxcab is a nice word to say! I say we give all kmansnaakddnaseewqaxcabs a round of applause for existing."
"Were they pressing random keys when giving it a name?"
"Yes. My dead cousin Rill-Row is only three years old, blind, and rotting in hell for getting us in trouble during family gatherings."
"What did she do? Tattle you out?"
"Worse. Play my secret playlist on max volume for everyone to hear."
I decided not to ask anymore questions, because I have a feeling I know what that secret playlist is. Also, Seika is silently pleading via telepathic emotions for me not to ask anyway.
We are not in their park, or mine. No!... but a park somewhere that reminds me of Hawaii. Maybe this is Hawaii. The palm trees and beating sun seem to point that way.
Also count the endless sea that me and Seika can perfectly see.
"Yo wanna hear a tongue twister I just thought of?" I asked my friend.
They nodded. I mewed. "Surely some should see the scenery serene sea shimmering shiningly superbly solemnly."
"Em, that's not really a tongue twister." They said. "It's more of using words that have the same letter to start in the sentence over and over again."
Awkward...
"But it's fine! We all forget the dictionary at least once in our lives. Especially if you've been through way more weird things than others."
I yawned, showing that I heard their statement. The wind started to kick up. We had to deal with hurricanes in Florida, so what's going on?
The only response I got was the wind. It got faster, and more violent. Me and Seika exchanged glances before flying back to our Kymari.
Shifting into flying form, I prepared to take off, only to catch the wind and, quite literally, play Twister in the air. I squawked when I neared a branch.
I felt myself stiffen up as I collided with it, falling to the ground. It had knocked the breath out of me. I couldn't move.
"Sei... help... p laws as!"
They didn't hear my mind voice. It bounced right back to me. I meowed for help, but it was strangled and FRICKEN HURT TO SPEAK!
I felt myself get picked up by the wind again, once more flailing in the blustery breeze. "Noooooo- oo!"
I got carried away for some distance before hitting the ground again. Something in my back hurt to move. I weakly shifted into simple form, trying to get out of the gusts.
The Kymari nearby were panicking and moving around. One, presumably a guy, had a frightened call. "Jekena? Jekena where are you?"
"Over here dad!" The girl called back. She was holding onto the trunk of a tree with all her life. "Help!"
Her father swiftly rushed over to her, gently yet forcefully pulled her into his grasp, and battled against the winds to get to a safe spot.
"Katy?! Where are you?! We can't find you anywhere!" Seika's voice boomed into my mind.
I tried sending her a picture of my surroundings, but my world was slowly spiraling. "Tree... help..."
"Oh shit! You must be severely hurt to have that voice!"
...
Say what now?
They kept trying to reach out to me, but
Something
...
Mom?
The... thing that Seika's cousin made..?
I dunno...
