Watashi No Hi (My Days)

Chapter 8: Back Then

I just hung up on my ex boyfriend Hiro-kun and now heading out to go meet him at our middle school.

I take the long way to get there, just so I can think of some subjects before talking to him.

As I make a turn to a corner I-

-bump-

"Owwie"

"Ugh, sorry about that."

I bump into someone and the voice sounds familiar.

I look to the person I bumped into and

I can't tell because its dark outside, but my mind must be playing tricks on me.

The person looks like that guy who saved me. I shake my head to try to clarify myself it's not the person.

"Hehe sorry I didn't know where I was going."

He helps me up as he speaks.

"Uhh it's okai, but girls shouldn't be out here at this time."

"Oh! hehe it's okai, I'm brave! so if a strange person try's something with me they have something coming for them."

He chuckles lightly, and I don't know why but his smile brings sparkles to my eyes.

"Uhh hehe well I'm in a hurry so cya."

I run pass him to try to get away from his trapping sparkles but then he grabs my arm.

"Huh?..."

"Oh well umm... be careful."

Then he lets go and walks the opposite way, he looks like the guy but I'm surely not gonna believe it.

But I still look back to see if he's still there but he's gone.

I finally arrive at the school and already see Hiro-kun waiting there.

"Hehe sorry for keeping you waiting!"

When Hiro saw me, his eyes widened for a reason I don't know, but then he turned back to his 'stepping on a Lego' face.

"Uhh it's not a problem, I didn't wait long."

I can tell Hiro hadn't changed at all since our 6 grade romance.

He's still that scary guy with a kind heart.

As I think this, I find myself thinking about that guy again.

I shack my head to get him out of my mind but then Hiro stares at me funny.

"Y-you okai?"

"Huh oh hehe yea I'm perfectly fine!"

I try to cover my embarrassment with a bright smile and it seemed to work like always.

Hiro had insisted that we walk around to think back to our memory's we had back then, but to tell you the truth, they all weren't so pretty and dazzling like in most people's lives.
