Chapter Fourteen

Kareem's POV

After the encounter this morning, I was scared at first, not that I do care though but I don't want her to die too, i mean I killed the woman I loved, how will I feel if she dies too. I called my sister to attend to her and left in a hurry, I was told my attention is needed in my company which I had no other choice than to leave

I walked into the boardroom with the others sitting down already waiting for me. All of them quickly stood up and greeted me. I looked at them and sittted telling everyone to also sit down. At that moment no one spoke instead I opened the file in front of me and give the order to start the presentation.

"The objective of our new goal will be to sell bags and shoes at a lower price, so that our customer-" I cut him off

"What are you trying to tell me? you want to lower my companies profit?" I asked as I  roll my eyes and I went through the file

"Erm sir, I'm not saying that-"

"This company was build of quality, just think of another way, If you don't have better way by Monday at morning, you'll be fired" I said and the room suddenly became quiet

"But...but can I continue with what I was saying? " he asked but I stood up and leave the room. My assistant followed and walk out with me

I walked back into my office "I can't believe this company has grown stronger to even pose as a threat to us...since when did this happened?" I asked my assistant

"Sir I tried to set a meeting with one of the co worker in the company, just so to create a cooperation between the two companies, they all to avail"

"So are you trying to say that you've found a way but you didn't bother to in form me? And according to this file I'm seeing here, our sales have decreased to 20%?" I knew he didn't expect me to say this

"Actually sir....that was not actually the problem, well...you see the Mr Kabir loaned about 40 million from your Dad when he was still the CEO then"

"You mean they still owed us money up till now? And up till now he hasn't return the money yet?..... Mr John make sure to find out more about this ASAP" I stated firmly

"Right away sir" he said walking out

I heard the knock on my door "Come in" I said

My secretary walk in " I'm sorry for the disturbing you sir, but you have a very important place you must attend to now"

"Ok please get the driver and the car" she answered with a nod and left. When I was through with what I was doing I left to change into something suitable

On my way going home, my phone start ringing, immediately I saw the name, I roll my eyes before picking up

"Mom"

"Yes my handsome son, how're you doing and your wife?"

"She isn't my wife Mom " I wanted saying but decide to keep my mouth shut

"Kareem!" She shout.  I had to move my phone from my ears, staring at it, I brought it back to my ears

"Are you even listening to me at all" she enquires

"Of course Mom... She.... She's doing fine"

"Good, I make a suggestion for you both. I want you two to go for your honeymoon" she announce happily

"Mom! "  exclaim angrily.  How  could she think of something like this?

"Mom I can't " I stubbornly told her
