Maryam's POV

"Do you really mean what you just said?"I asked again in other to be sure of what I just heard

"Yes I do"

"OK how about this.... I want two things from you then"

"Two things?"

"Yes two things"

"First, call Khalid and apologise for what you did to him yesterday-"

"What! No way!"he yells angrily cutting me off

"Why? You can't do it?" I ask smirking. I don't know why, but I can't help but to feel happy knowing that I'm now in charge. I really can't believe it that there would be a day I'll be making rules for Kareem Abdulazeez

"I...I can't do it" he finally said

"But Maryam he took you out without my permission! knowing that I'm your husband! You came home late yesterday and did you see the look he was giving you? He likes you!"

And so is you too Kareem,I've seen it now,I can read you like a book,you likes me too but won't just say it

"Kareem he was only trying to help, at least he's been nice to me unlike you who always treat me like a trash" I said rolling my eyes

"I know and I'm sorry OK... That's why I'm apologising to you now"

"And I said you should apologise first to Khalid coz he hasn't done anything wrong..but if you insist you won't,then no problem" I said shrugging off my shoulder

"I...I'll do it" he announce and I slightly smile

"How about the second?" He asked

I hope he will listen to me on this,I pray by saying this I won't bring out the monster Kareem again

"Erm....start praying,stop all this drinking and smoking Kareem,please stop it,it will cause nothing but damages to your health,please Kareem you're a good Muslim from a well good family,doing all this will only tarnish your family image,just think of it this way,what if your mom realise what you're doing,do you think she'll be happy? Do you think your Dad will be happy about it? You're their first child Kareem! You ought to lay good example to others,I always envy your parent especially your Mom, do you know how much she loves you,how much expectation she wants from you? Kareem please if you think you really want me to forgive you for all what you've done to me, change your ways,forget about the ruthless,drug addict Kareem and turn to the good and well behave Kareem please" I told him and by now I was holding his hands

He did nothing but to hold my gaze "I can't do it Maryam" he finally says

"Wh....why?"

"I'm addicted to it already Maryam,I'm...do you think I don't want to leave it too? I really want to,but I can't...I really can't...I'm addicted to it,if I don't take it regularly just for a day,it might turn me into something else,like the other day,look at what I did to you. I can't take a control of my self If don't get it on time,it brings out some unwillingly things in me"

"And now if I stop it, do you think you'll be safe? You won't, I won't be able to do that Maryam...please ask of something else but not this"

"Kareem do you think we can do this together?"

Please just say the word yes,please say yes. I can't keep fighting if you don't give me the chance Kareem, please give me some hope
