Maryam's POV

"Dad" I called excited as I hug him the moment I opened the door and saw him

"My dear..how are you doing?"

"I'm fine daddy"

"What brought you here?... Oh my God how rude of me,please come in " I said ushering him in

"Oh you have a visitor already?"

"Good morning sir" Kareemah said greeting him

"Morning my dear...how are you doing? And your parent?"

"Alhamdulillah we're all fine sir"

"Good...Maryam dear I was to meet one of my client around this place this morning so I decide to check on you"

"Really Dad!  Thanks to that person at least I got to see my daddy....what about Aunty?"

"Still there blaming me for getting you married...she keeps complaining everyday that she no longer has customers because I married you off"

Like seriously?

"Dad I hope it wasn't getting out of hand?"

"Not at all my dear, you know how good I'm in controlling her"

"Yes daddy..."

"how about your husband?"

"Oh! He just left this morning, something urgent came up at work"

"That's good,I really don't have to ask you if he's treating you good,your face says it all"

"Hey I need to leave now OK, I'm sure he will be there by now already"

"No you don't have to,just have your time with your friend"

Immediately my dad left kareemah suddenly said" oh my goodness Maryam,your dad is really handsome, do you think he can marry me as his second wife?"

"Bestie?! Are you OK?! He's my father! In-law to you!"

"Hey I was just kidding" she said laughing

"So you mean all this happened between you two and you didn't bother to let me know?!"

"Actually not that I didn't want you to know,I was just trying to find the right time to tell you about it"

Bu"t Maryam you really are so different from most people that I've known. Most especially me,if a guy should treat me this way I wouldn't forgive him for the rest of my life but nevertheless I'm so happy coz you've really change him a lot,I heard from one of his employees that he don't lavish money again,that instead he find a really good and worthy business to invest in "

"Really?"

"Yes Bestie.... And about Khalid what do you think about him,guess you two are close now"

"Yes we're but I only see him as my brother nothing else"
