Chapter Twenty Five

Chance and Raven have been in training with Slender and the proxies. They mostly train with Masky and Toby. Masky helps Raven with her blades while Chance is mostly trained by Toby for his tomahawks. Raven is wearing her pink and black mask, her hoodie, her skirt with leggings and her running shoes. Chance wears a pair of blue looking googles, black mouth gear, a black hoodie, running shoes, and black jeans. Raven chose her look to match with her Uncle Masky while Chance went with Toby's look.

Raven is up in a tree resting while her brother is on the ground looking around. She looks down at him and it seems to be that he is looking for her. She stays up in the tree watching in amusement.

"Raven?! Where are you?!" Chance yells looking around. She bites her lip to keep from laughing. She jumps down tackling him to the ground. "Ouch!" He groans with Raven on his back.

"Looking for me?" She smirks.

"Yes, now get off!" She rolls her eyes getting up.

"What'd you want?"

"Uncle Masky is looking for you."

"Ok, well, I'm gonna go to the human side." Raven starts walking off but Chance is behind her.

"No! We can't go to the human side yet. Uncle Masky's not done with our training." He takes her hand trying to pull her back.

"But I want to go." She whines and pulls against him. She over powers him and pulls him with her. They walk to the edge of the woods but Chance stops. "Come on bro." She walks out into the town before her. Raven doesn't wait up for her brother, she just keeps walking. She kinda enjoys being in the town until she was pulled into an alley. A man pulled her in and has an arm wrapped around her waist holding her arms down while he has her mouth covered. It makes it a little hard to breath where she's wearing her mask. He drags her deeper into the alley with her struggling. He throws her into the wall and she hits the ground

Raven hit her head on the wall and it left a gash, even though her mask is on. The man walks over pinning her to the ground sitting on her stomach, straddling her waist. He has her arms pinned above her head and uses his free hand to take her mask off. "What a pretty little girl." His voice is deep and husky sounding.

"Chance!!" Raven screams and the man covers her mouth. Chance heard the screaming and came running. He already has his two tomahawks out and ready. He finds the alley and sees Raven pinned to the ground with a man on her. The man has a hand going up her shirt with her still struggling. Chance sneaks over to them before slamming a tomahawk into the mans back and then swings with the other cutting his head off. Chance pushes the man's dead body off of Raven pulling her into his arms hugging her.

"You ok sis?" She could hear the worry in his voice.

"Yea, I'm fine. My head just hurts." He pulls back looking at her head seeing the gash. Raven starts getting little headed and collapses in his arms. He holds her up in his arms.

"Raven?!" He panics. Chance doesn't know what to do so he picks her up bridal style and runs back to the woods. Chance glances down at her seeing she's unconscious. "Don't worry sis. I'm going to get us home." He says hoping she can hear him. He keeps running. Chance has made it into the front yard of the house. He runs up the porch and burst though the door in full panic. LJ, EJ, and Jeff were on the couch when he ran in panting. "Uncle Masky!!" He yells causing the guys on the couch to get worried. They come over and see why he's in a full panic mode. They see the gash in Raven's head. Masky comes down the stairs.

He sees Chance holding Raven and comes over. "What happened?"

"She wanted to go into town." Masky tells him to take her up to her room. Chance carries her upstairs while he went to find Slender or one of his brothers. Chance is sitting on Raven's bed holding her in his lap. "It's gonna be ok." He whispers while holding her tight.

Misty and Ben walk in the door seeing the guys on the couch. EJ looks over at them. "Misty, Ben?"

"That doesn't sound good. What is it?" Ben asked.

"Raven got hurt. She's up in her room." Ben's and Misty's eyes widen before they run upstairs and the guys follow to check on Raven. They burst in the room seeing Chance holding her in his lap. Misty runs over crawling on the bed beside him. She runs her fingers through Raven's hair. Ben walks over sitting on the other side of Chance.

"What happened Chance?" Ben asked him.

"She wanted to go into town. I stayed in the edge of the woods knowing it was a bad idea. I heard her screaming and when I found her there was a man trying to rape her." Ben cuts him.

"That son of a bitch! I'm gonna kill him!"

"I done did. She passed out after I killed him. We left her mask there on accident. I didn't mean to leave her mask but I had to get her home." Chance tells him.

"It's ok Chance we're not mad about the mask." Ben tells him. "Come on let's go get her mask. We don't need humans after Raven." Chance lies Raven back on the bed before leaving with his dad going to the alley. When they get to the alley Ben sees the body of the man who attempted to rape his daughter. Chance runs over and grabs Raven's mask. "You did this?" Ben asked looking awed at his sons first kill.

"Yea, I hit him in the back before cutting his head off." Ben smiles and leads his son back to the mansion. They walk in going upstairs seeing Raven is still unconscious. Her mask is covered in her own blood and cracked a little. Masky comes in with Slender and asked him to help Raven. He walks over to Raven and starts healing her head. Chance cleans her mask off before waiting in the hallway for Slender to tell them when he's done.

After close to an hour he comes out telling them she is fine now. Chance is the first one to run in the room. He sits on the bed waiting for Raven to wake up. Raven's eyes start to flutter open. She groans before moving a hand to her head.

"How ya feel sis?" Chance asked moving his goggles up and mouth gear down.

"My head hurts." She slowly sits up still holding a hand to her head.

"Did anything happen before I got to the alley?" Chance asked sounding worried. He is scared he got there to late.

"Besides being dragged into an alley. Thrown back into a concrete wall before hitting the ground. Then that man on me taking my mask away. Then no nothing happened." Chance hands Raven her mask and she pulls it back on. Misty and Ben wrap their arms around Raven hugging her.

"Promise you will never go back into town without your brother." Misty says.

"I promise mama."

"We don't want you getting hurt the same way as Aunt Sally." Raven goes silent before they pull away. Jeff and the rest of them are by the bed standing there. They tell her goodnight before leaving her room. Masky ruffles her hair.

"Night Raven."

"Night Uncle Masky." Ben and Misty tell her goodnight before kissing her head leaving her to sleep. Chance stays in her room for a little while longer. "I can't sleep Chance." He looks down at her. "Can you sing me a song?"

"Sure. What will it be tonight?" Chance, when Raven was younger, would sing her to sleep with whatever song she wanted him to sing. He is easily embarrassed when singing but he would do anything for his sister.

"Can you sing Fallen Angels?" She slightly smiles up at him.

"We are the in between. Cast down as sons of war. Struck to the Earth like lightening; on this world we're torn. We won't cause the pain, of living out their law. Take joy in who you are; we know are wings are flawed. We're bored to death in heaven and all alone in hell. We only want to be ourselves. We scream. We shout. We are the fallen angels." Raven fell asleep listening to her brother sing. He stops and kisses her forehead. "Goodnight sis." He leaves her room going to bed.
