t.w.* - language, vomit

miles walks into the cafeteria with confidence with tyler by his side. melanie is now gone, and he is now miles. they head over to their friend group. all of their friends' jaws drop to the floor. "this is miles martinez, everyone." tyler grins to the black and blue haired trans boy standing next to him with a proud smirk on his lips. "melanie.. you're transgender?!" shouts some friends. "it's miles. and yes," he corrects and some of the friends have smiles on their lips. all of the friends are accepting and supportive of their new trans friend. they all engulf their black and blue haired friend into a big warm group hug, which tyler joins in.

there is still a girl sitting down. yes, a very familiar orange haired female with a disgusted, unaccepting, disapproving look on her face. "okay, that's enough, joshua," she pulls the red haired boy out of the group hug and back onto the seat with her. "debby, that's my friend!" he exclaims. tyler's mood changes again because of her. "oh, shush, joshua. yeah, whatever, she's a transgender." tyler's face is nearly red now. she did not say that. "first of all, don't tell josh to 'shush'. you aren't the boss of him. second of all, he's transgender. third of all, don't pull him away from his friends. geez," tyler barks to debby, and everyone goes silent. tyler feels eyes peirce into his skull as he glares at the rude orange haired girl. she looks up at josh with a 'don't let him speak to me like that' face.

josh looks down at her and back at tyler uneasily, unsure of who to pick.

"that was a little rude, tyler." josh mumbles and debby's face starts to relax. she now has this sinister smirk, her arm hooking around the red hair's arm. "yeah, pretty boy. that was a little rude." debby echos. tyler feels his eyes sting and tears start to flood in. he's sensitive to these kind of things. what a bitch, tyler thinks.

he rushes to the bathroom, hands over his eyes, avoiding any eye contact with anyone on the way. he collapses in the stall after closing it, feeling very nauseous for some reason. his close friend just protected some chick who was being rude. the thought makes him throw up the contents of breakfast into the toilet, tears spilling out his eyes. "tyler? buddy, are you alright?" he hears the voice of dallon. "please go away," tyler chokes out, feeling anxiety pound in his chest. "no tyler, let me in, please? debby is so dramatic and josh is an idiot."

tyler reaches to unlock the door but then feels it coming up his throat. he turns to the toilet and sobs. "oh my god.. you want me to get someone else to talk to you? i'm not the best at these things." dallon asks worryingly, another male walking in the boys' bathroom. the boy looks at dallon and tyler's feet under the stall and turns around, heading straight out. poor kid. "stay with me," tyler says in a shaky voice after inhaling deeply. he then exhales, keeping his head low to the toilet in case he suddenly feels nauseous again. that was a little rude, tyler. he hears josh's voice. yeah, pretty boy. that was a little rude. he gasps and releases the rest of the food in his stomach.

tyler flushes the toilet after wiping his mouth and throwing it in with the contents. he stands up, his knees buckling a little. he leans against the wall for balance. the brunette eventually stands correctly and opens the stall, passing dallon by heading to the sink. the brunette washes out his mouth and turns to dallon. "you wanna head out, man? we can hang somewhere else with brendon instead of going back to that crazy chick and josh." he asks politely and tyler nods with a weak tainted smile. dallon mirrors tyler's smile and gently takes tyler's wrist.

he leads him to an empty classroom. "i'll be right back with brendon, alright?" he says. tyler nods in approval and the brunette is left alone in the empty classroom. tyler looks around the empty room, from the floor to the walls to the ceiling. he takes out his phone as he gets a message.

josh - tyler, i'm sorry. please come back to the cafeteria.

tyler - i don't want to, and i can't even if i did want to.

josh - why?

tyler - because i'm a mess and i'm angry at you.

josh - i said i'm sorry! come on, tyler, come back. debby is gone.

tyler - i was just trying to protect you from her, you know?

josh - i can protect myself.

josh - why were you so against her? she just pulled me away from my friends to talk to me.

josh - tyler, can you answer a serious question?

josh - do you like me?

crap. tyler puts his phone away without an answer. dallon comes back with a raven haired boy a few minutes after. "tyler! dude, are you okay? josh is such an a-" "amazing person. i know. thank you," dallon jumps as he hears josh's voice in the room. "tyler, i need to talk to you." josh says, staring into tyler's eyes. tyler stays silent, the other two boys looking at him. "um, we'll leave you two alone." dallon says and grabs his boyfriend's hand. they leave the room but they still stay close enough to the room to where they can hear them.

"do you like me, tyler?"

tyler looks down at his toes.

"tyler."

"yes!" the brunette says in a raised voice. "you're the first person in years who's been nice to me.. and i just- you're so special in every way and you make me feel things i've never felt before." he huffs, tears streaming down his red cheeks. "tyler.."

josh cups his face with his masculine hands, his lips nearing tyler's small mouth.
