"A party, ey?" my Uncle questions as the two of us sit on the couch together after I had got back from school safely, his car unscratched and my Uncle himself a lot less hungover in comparison to how I had seen him that morning.

"Well I thought why not," I tell my Uncle with a small shrug, "I mean Peter's going-"

My Uncle looks at me, "Peter's going to a high school party?"

"Why does that shock you so much?" I question with a small laugh, "He is the same age as me and is a high school student anyway-"

"No it's nothing bad!" My Uncle responds as he defends himself, "I just didn't see him as the party sort of guy-"

"Well I never saw him as the sort of Spiderman guy but hey, here we are," I say with a shrug, earning a playful hit on the shoulder from my Uncle in response, "What was that for?!"

"For insulting Peter-"

"But you just insulted him too!"

"Well he's my underoos, so I'm aloud to-"

"Well he's my best friend, so I am also aloud to," I retort back sarcastically, a smirk spreading across his face at my response, "And anyway, isn't 'underoos' a brand of fucking children underwear?-"

"And how are you getting back from this party anyway?" my Uncle questions, completely ignoring my comment on Peter's nickname.

"God you sound like my dad or Steve-"

"It's an important question!" my Uncle backs himself up, "And it's the questions a responsible adult, like myself should be asking their child, even if they're not theirs."

I snort a laugh and smile at him with a warm smile, "Peter has offered me to sleep over his place after the party and so Happy can collect me at like noon-"

"Ah, Peter yet again-" my Uncle teases, causing my mouth to open in shock and my Uncle to laugh hysterically.

"Well it's not as if you can't trust him because, after all, his is Spiderman and is guaranteed to protect me if anything goes wrong, which I doubt will," I tell my Uncle, causing him to shrug in agreement to my comment.

"I suppose..."

"So can I go?" I ask him, raising my eyebrows in the hopes he'll agree, which he does after sighing aloud.

"Fine. I guess-"

"Thanks Uncle Tony! Oh, also, I'll need you to take me to the party itself tonight-"

"Why? You've already proved to me that you can drive.," my Uncle looks at me confused.

"Yes, I'll leave your very expensive car in front of a teenage party with drunk teenagers that could potentially trash it and after that I will then leave it parked overnight in front of Peter's apartment unattended and unprotected which could also give away my location to suspicious people-"

"Fine!" my Uncle once again cuts me off and I feel a grin spread across my face as I am able to get him to do what I wanted and not the typical vice-versa, "Just tell me the address of this guy's house and I'll take you."

My Uncle stops the car outside a reasonably large house in quite a quaint neighbourhood. Looking out, I spot that there are a lot of people already there, with loud music playing and flashing lights seeping out of the large windows. As I sat looking out I could feel my hands sweat and I wipe them quickly on the ends of my dress that I wore. It was an off the shoulder, duck-egg blue colour that was skin tight and on my feet I had a pair of cream, wedged shoes to top it off, my hair straightened and over my shoulders.

"I'm sure you will have a great time," my Uncle assures me from the drivers seat pleasantly, "High school is meant to be the best time of your life, so get out there and enjoy these things before you get old like me."

I grin as I smile at my Uncle, "Thank you. Now I just have to find Peter-"

"I think I found him for you," my Uncle cuts me off, nodding towards the car that pulled up in front of ours with Peter and his Aunt in the front and Ned sat in the back. Upon seeing me, Peter grinned and was quick to say goodbye to his aunt with a quick toothy smile and a cheery looking "goodbye" as he closed the door and May drove off.

"Hey Katie," Peter greeted with a smile as he and Ned approached the car that I was climbing out of. Ducking his head, Peter looked into the car, "Hey Mr Stark-"

"You'll look after her kid, yeah?" My Uncle is quick to ask, causing Peter to blush and laugh with nerves.

"Of course I will Mr Stark-"

"Good, well I'll see you tomorrow then, Katie," he smiles at me before I close the car door and he drives off quickly, leaving me on the curb with a blushing Peter and an over-the-moon Ned.

"I can't believe you just spoke to Tony Stark!" He said excitedly to Peter, hitting him on the shoulder playfully.

Peter laughed, "I do on quite a regular basis, Ned, Katie more so than me due to being related."

Ned laughs and the three of us make our way up to the house together, the music getting louder and louder the closer we got. I could once again feel my hands sweating and nerves build up, Peter noticing this as he stops the two of us whilst Ned carries on and wanders into the party alone, "You don't have to go if you don't want to. I'm more than happy to ring May and get her to come back and pick us up if you're not comfortable-"

"I'll be fine," I say to Peter with a deep breathe, "I've just never been to a party like this before really. A few friends at a house with some drinks, maybe. But not an entire house with drunk teenagers and blasting music so no one can talk."

"Yeah, I only really came because of the opportunity of us hanging out tonight," Peter admits to me as we make our way into the party, eventually joining up with Ned who stood alone by a pillar near the entrance, "And if you need to get out for air or you want to leave, just let me know. After all, I am under strict instruction from your Uncle to look after you throughout this party."

I thank him for his support as Ned invites the two of us to follow him to the kitchen to get drinks, which I agreed to. By now, my anxiety levels were slowly increasing and if anything was going to lower them down again, it was either going to be getting into my pyjamas or drinking, and since I was at a social event, the only and most convenient option was to drink my way out.

Though I vowed I wouldn't have a lot as I took a red cup full of mixed fruit cider and wandered back to the living room behind Peter and Ned, who too had alcoholic beverages in their hands. I wanted to remember the party and, most importantly, remember and enjoy tonight at Peter's house after the party without being completely wasted. Being a bit tipsy was ok, but being completely hungover and out of my senses was not something I was ready to experience just yet, especially at my very first house party.
