"Yes, I know Emma. Aren't they marvelous?" Emma. My mom's name is Emma. Or....was. I open my eyes. The world...it's so bright. Everything is so blurry. A lovely women with long brown hair, that coasted down her back. And a man with neatly combed and cut hair, his skin a un-nerving pale color. They were looking down at me, I could feel their smiles, the love in their eyes, the hope in their hearts. But, I can't see their faces. Their ever so blurry. I reach my hands up, reaching for their faces. Then suddenly I'm on the ground, by myself. A storm is raging, I'm rolling on the ground crying. 'I want my parents!' I had thought. I hear a crashing sound. Water. I was near the ocean. The waves picked me up, ever so gently. Carrying me. "Shh...It's okay! I've got you!" 'I WANT MY PARENTS!' I shout...or tried to. "It's okay! Everything will be fine!"
'I SAID I WANT MY PARENTS!!!'
'....'
'I want my parents....'
But I already knew....my parents will never come. Their gone. Like petals on a flower. Like a thorn on a stem. Like blood from a cut. Gone. 'Oh....how I hate that word.'
