///Tom's POV///
"I don't want to die..." I stared up my mom, who was holding my hand and looking down at me.
I think I was somewhere around eight, and I still had my eyes. I was scared and there was only one thought in my head.
"I'm about to die."
It's strange the way it creeps up on you like that, and you want to fight it by there's nowhere to run.
No one wants to die, no one wants their life to be over, some want to escape, some want to give up, but no one wants to die.
"My child," My mom said, ruffling my hair, brushing her fingers across my forehead, "To reject death is to reject life itself, my little bird."
She smiled sweetly and took my hand again. "It's going to be okay," She said looking up at the sunset.
"It'll be okay." She repeated, and then the wind blow.
She disappeared along with her voice. I was alone and I held my hand to my chest as I stared up at the starlit sky.
"It'll be okay," I repeated to myself and convinced myself to believe.
------------------------
Tord was carrying me, that I knew for sure.
I was staring up at him blankly, as he climbed up the last of the stairs.
Around his head, I swear there was a gathering of light.
Strange.
"Geez, Tom, we have to stop meeting like this," He said, not looking down at me.
I nodded limply still looking up at him.
"You left your keys at my apartment," He said as I continued to stare up at him.
It felt like I was in a daze, I couldn't believe that someone was actually there. That someone actually cared.
I continued to stare up at Tord, feeling as if this wasn't actually happening.
"Is this real?" I asked as he comes to the landing.
Tord's hand immediately tightened around my legs, his hand stiffening on my back. He kept walking through, I could tell we were near my apartment.
"Is this real?" I repeated, hoping he would have an answer for me this time.
Tord looked down at me, worry in his eyes.
I was hoping he would give me an answer but instead, he set me down gently, his arm around my waist and my arm across his shoulders, and started to unlock my door.
"Tom, did you hit your head?" Tord asked as he pushed the door open and picked me back up.
I shook my head, "Is this real?" I asked again, as Tord walked into my apartment.
Tord set me down gently on the couch as he stood next to me. He pressed his hand against my forehead, pushing my hair back and looking for any marks.
I stared at him, my head still hurt, maybe I did hit it. I reached up and touch his cheek.
"This feels like a dream," I said, my fingers tracing over his lips as he blushed.
Tord kept one hand on my forehead, as he took my hand into his. He pinched my finger very lightly, letting me know I wasn't going crazy.
"This is real, Tom," He said, still blushing slightly, "You're okay, this is real."
I kept staring up at him, then I blushed.
Tord chuckled. "Someone realize exactly what was going on?" He asked in a cocky tone.
I tried to pull my hand away, but Tord kept holding onto it.
I looked up at him, still flushing red, bewildered. "T-Tord?" I asked, he plopped himself onto the couch next to me, still holding my hand.
"Consider it my thank you," Tord said when I turned to look at him. "You need to thank me for more things than you know."
I stared at him for a second more, still stunned. Then I chuckled too and leaned back into my couch.
"I'll take your word for it," I smiled, staring up at the ceiling.
"Aren't you going to go back to your apartment?" I asked, "It's getting late."
Tord chuckled and looked over at me, "You slept at my apartment, why can't I sleep at yours?" He asked.
I slapped him on the arm, "You made me fall asleep!" I said, smiling as he laughed too.
"Y-yeah," He said, still laughing, "You got me there," He finished. He looked at me, continuing to chuckle.
I turned and looked at my kitchen clock, "You should seriously go home, it's three."
Tord shakes his head, "Nuuu! I don't want to!"
I chuckled, "You're acting like a little kid," I said, feeling his hand tighten on mine like he was trying to say he never wanted to leave."Tord, I will drag you back to your house if I have to!" I said, laughing.
"I don't think you can," He said, laughing even more.
"Hey, I'm strong enough!"
"You're way too short!"
I crossed my arms, glaring at him. "I'm still strong!""Yeah," Tord said looking at me, his eyes tearing up with tears of laughter.
"Yeah!"
"Prove it!" He said, closing his eyes and laughing.
"FINE!" I said, getting up.
Tord turned to look at me, right as I pick him up. and lifted him above my head.
"Woah! Okay, Tom!" He said surprised as I started to laugh.
"You want me to put you down?" I asked, wheezing as Tord wiggled.
"YES!" Tord said, looking down at me.
I smiled evilly and tossed him back onto my couch.
"Oof!" Tord said as he hit the hard leather.
I dropped down next to him again, laughing. "Ha! I proved it to you, you bastard!"
He looked at me while I smirk evilly, "Yeah," He said, "Not fucking with you again."
"Good!" I said, "Now, do as I command and go back to your apartment!"
He got up, holding up his hands, "Fine, Fine since you want me gone so badly!" Tord said, laughing.
I held up a fake finger gun, smiling. "Go," I said chuckling.
Tord kept his hands up, backing to the door, he turned his back, opening the door. He turned to look back at me and just stared at me for a moment.
"Good night, Tommy," He beamed, leaving and closing the door behind him.
After the door was closed I smiled too, "Good night, Commie."
I'm definitely going crazy because the memory of him carrying me up the stairs, I still remember the light around his head.
A helo.
I saw a helo.
