"Are you sure you're okay to do this?" I asked Eve as we headed downstairs to meet Rhys.

"I'm sure," she insisted, "and besides, I want to meet you guy."

I groaned as she winked at me. When I had told Eve my plans her first question was if Rhys was cute.

"Hey," Rhys smiled as we approached. Eve gave him a look over.

"Don't you go reading into it," I warned him.

"Don't worry," he laughed and held up his hands in surrender, "Hers is also blocked."

"My what is blocked?" Eve cast a look between the two of us.

"It's a Keeper thing," I assured.

"Are we going or what?" Rhys tossed a set of keys in his hand. "I borrowed a car."

"Cool," I grinned. We all piled in. Rhys driving and Eve and I at the back.

"I never thought my baby sister would one day be so powerful," Eve whispered to me.

"I'm only six months younger than you," I frowned.

"You're still my baby sister," she grinned.

I groaned. From the front seat Rhys chucked. When he pulled up we tumbled out of the car. Rhys held the door for us. There weren't many people here so we sat down at a booth against the window.

"Last time we were here Destiny elbowed another vampire in the nose," Rhys laughed at the memory.

"What?" Eve exclaimed.

I chuckled, "A couple humans strayed into here and a vampire started to go after them. I went after the vampire and he hit me in the shoulder so I elbowed him in the nose." then as an after thought I added, "Then I knocked him out."

"He hit you!" I thought this conversation would turn out better than this.

"It was nothing," I insisted.

"Anything else I need to know?" she asked.

"Umm… not that I can think of," I said.

"Actually," Rhys cleared his throat, "Your second day."

"Oh. Yeah," I sighed.

"What about your second day?" Eve sat up.

"I got burnt," I said bluntly.

"How… by what?" she looked at Rhys then back at me.

"Sun," Rhys answered for me.

"How do you get burnt by sun?" Eve looked at me incredulous.

"A child was out in the courtyards and I couldn't let her die," I said softly.

Eve nodded.

"Anyway, we're not here to talk about my mishappenings. We're here to get a snack," I smiled.

"She's right," Rhys stood and grabbed a couple menus.

"This place is awesome. It's not one of those underground pubs for us." Eve said as she flipped through the menu.

"I know," I nodded. The waitress came and took our orders.

"So how long are you staying with us?" Rhys asked Eve.

"I don't actually know. I haven't even met Gwen yet," she shook her head.

"That's sad, Gwen's a really nice person. She was the one that treated Destiny's burns." Rhys said.
