Sara stayed in contact with her father over the coming weeks, but she still wasn't sure how she felt about him. And she had something else on her mind, that was taking over most of her thoughts.
The Marauders were all very excited, at the prospect of meeting James and Lily's child, which was due to be born at the end of July. Which was the same month as Alice and Frank's baby, so there would be two new babies in Sara's life, when the time came.
James was looking forward to being a father, but when he showed up on Sara and Remus's doorstep one evening, she could tell that something was wrong.
"James, what's wrong?" Questioned Sara, as she stepped to the side of the doorway, allowing James to enter her house.
"It's Voldemort" revealed James, as he walked inside, shutting the door behind himself.

"What about him?" Remus asked, as he joined his friends, who had congrigated in the lounge.
"He's after us. Me and Lily. Dumbledore has been informed, by an undercover Death Eater spy, that Voldemort intends to hunt us down, and kill us" admitted James.
"Why? Why now? We've all been fighting against him for years, so why has he suddenly decided to try and kill you both now?" Quizzed Sara.
James took a deep breath, and sighed.
"I can trust you both, can't I?".
"Of course you can Prongs. We're best friends remember" replied Sara.

"Well, some seer has made a prophecy, that states that the one with the power to kill Voldemort, will be born at the end of July, to parents who have thrice defied him.
Of course the prophecy could be refering to Alice and Frank's child, but Voldemort believes that our child is the one. So he intends to kill us all, in case there is any truth in this prophecy" explained James.
"You can't be serious. I didn't think that Voldemort was one to put faith in something as stupid as Divination and prophecies" admitted Sara.
"Well Dumbledore believes that the prophecy is genuine. And so does Voldemort, apparently".

"What are you going to do James?" Asked Remus.
"Well me and Lily are going to have to go into hiding, if we want to protect our unborn child. Dumbledore has reccommended some protective enchantments we can place around our house. He's also said that he isn't going to send us on missions any more, as it's just too dangerous" revealed James.
"Well he has a point. You are going to be a father soon James, so you can't take risks anymore" reminded Sara.
"I know. I just don't like the idea of staying at home, being bored out of my mind, for the foreseeable future" admitted James.
"Well once your kid is born, you definately won't be bored, as children require a lot of attention. Mary hardly ever has time to do anything for herself anymore, because of John. And you won't be in hiding forever, it's just for now"
"Well I hope you're right, you know how much I can't stand being sidelined".

"If there's anything you need James, just ask. We'll be happy to help out, in anyway we can" insisted Remus.
"Thanks mate... Oh, while we're in hiding, you're not allowed to tell anyone where we live. Or mention anything I've told you about today. In case a Death Eater overhears" warned James.
"Well obviously. We aren't stupid" replied Sara.
"I know. I'm just trying to keep my family safe"
"Don't worry James. Your secrets are safe with me and Remus. We would never say anything, that could put you in danger... Besides, we are used to keeping secrets"
"Yes, I'm sure you are".

James was not suited to living a quiet life, and being out of the action, suited him even less than it had suited Sara.
Lily tried her best to keep James occupied, over the long months, during her pregnancy, but it was not easy.
Sara also tried to visit as often as possible, just as James had done, when she had been house bound. But she found it hard to be around her friends, while they were preparing for the birth of their child, as it made Sara feel rather jealous.
Little John was growing up so fast, and though she visited him almost daily, Sara ended up missing out on most of his milestones.
She wasn't there when he took his first steps, or said his first word (which was Mary). Sara found this very heartbreaking, though she did her best to hide her emotions from everyone, as she didn't want them to know how she was really feeling.

When Lily asked Sara to be her birthing partner, everything inside her, told her to decline. But in the end, she agreed, as she thought her own experience might be of use, as she would understand exactly how Lily was feeling, throughout her labour.
Despite knowing that she would have a short life, Lily and James had chosen Sara to be the Godmother of their child. Along with Sirius, who would be the baby's Godfather.
Sara didn't think that they had made the right choice, as she knew that her and Sirius were the most immature and care-free, of the group. But James and Lily would not let themselves be dissuaded from their choices.

On the 31st of July, Sara and James were right by Lily's side, as she gave birth in her own home, with two Healers beside her. While the other Marauders waited nervously outside.
"It's a boy" announced one of the Healers, as she cut the cord, before handing the new born baby over to Lily, placing him delicately onto her stomach.
"A boy" murmered James, who looked like he was going to cry.
Lily smiled, and stroked her little boy's cheek softly. She then turned to face Sara, and took hold of her friend's hand, squeezing it tight.
"Thank you for helping me" grinned Lily.
"No problem. I'm glad I could be of some help" replied Sara.

Once Lily had been made to look more presentable, and the baby had been checked over, the Healers left, and the Marauders entered, taking their places.
"So, what's the name of my Godson then?" Asked Sirius, as he leaned over the bed, to look at the baby, sleeping in Lily's arms.
Lily looked at James, who was sitting on the bed bedide her, and he nodded.
"This is Harry. Harry James Potter" revealed Lily.
"Well, welcome to the world little Harry" replied Sara.
"He looks like you James" complimented James.
"But he has your eyes Lily. Though you can't see them when he's asleep" added Sara.

"Congratulations you two, on the birth of your son" said Peter, with a big smile on his face.
"Thank you Peter. I'm so glad that I got to share this moment with all of you" admitted Lily.
"Yes, well we don't want to intrude. This is your moment, and you deserve to spend some time together, with just the three of you" stated Sara.
"That would be lovely. I don't want to seem like I'm throwing you out, but I think me, Lily, and baby Harry, could use some time alone together" agreed James.
"No problem mate" replied Sirius.
Sara nodded her head at Remus, who began to make his way towards the door, with the other Marauders at his back.

"Wow. Just wow" sighed Sirius, once the 4 of them were outside the cottage.
"You seem so shocked, as if you've never seen a baby before" teased Sara.
"Yeah, well it's different when it's your best mate, isn't it"
"I guess you're right".
"You two have a big responsibilty, as Godparents" reminded Peter.
"We certainly do Wormy. And I for one, think I am going to be an amazing Godfather" announced Sirius.
"We'll see about that" smiled Sara.
"Ha ha. Come on you three, let's find the nearest pub, and celebrate the birth of Harry James Potter, by getting very, very drunk" suggested Sirius.
"How very responsibile of you" sighed Sara, as she placed her arm around Remus, before following Sirius down the street, with Peter at their heels.
