1993
It had taken Sara a while to adapt to life as a dragon, but eventually sleeping in a cave and hunting for her own food, became second nature to her.
Though Sara had tried many times to turn back into a human, she had failed, and in the end she had given up trying.
But despite this, Sara's human memories had not yet faded. She knew exactly who she was, and never let the vicious monster inside, take over her mental state, as well as her physical body.
Sara missed her friends, but she knew that she was in the right place, where she couldn't accidently hurt someone, that she cared about.Sara woke up one morning, and exited her cave, as normal, when a strange scent suddenly entered her nose.
She knew her own territory very well, and whatever this smell was, it did not belong there.
Her dragon senses were alerted, and she used her nose, to track down the strange smell that had entered her land.
As she got closer to the smell, she realised that it had an unusual canine tinge to it. Which was odd, as there weren't any wild dogs at the sanctuary, as they had all been eaten by dragons, many years before.Eventually Sara managed to track down the smell, stopping once she could sense that it was a few feet in front of her.
Sara stood her ground, and growled menicingly, to try and lure the creature out of the bush it was hiding it.
After a few moments of silence, a large black, shaggy dog, lept out of the bush in front of Sara.
Sara felt nervous, as most animals ran a mile, when they saw her approaching. But this dog had stopped right in front of her, and didn't seem to be afraid of her, in any way.
Sara growled again, trying to scare the creature off, but this had the opposite effect. The dog stood up on its hind legs, and closed its eyes.
A moment later, the dog's form began to transform, changing into the shape of a grown man.
The man was thin, muddy, and covered in matted, overgrown hair. He wore a tatty black coat, over his disheveled oufit.
He had mad looking eyes, and a knife in one hand instead of a wand, but despite this, Sara knew that he was a wizard, as he was able to transform into an animal. And if he could do that without the use of a wand, then he had to be an Animagus.Despite his ragged, wild looking appearence, there was something familar about the man, that Sara couldn't quite put her finger on.
And then it hit her.
Though he looked a lot older and more messed up, than the last time she had seen him. There was no mistaking who he was.
Seeing him for the first time, in so many years, seemed to re-awaken something deep inside Sara.
She felt her body shrinking down, as she took a step closer to the man, but she refused to take her eyes off him, to look at her own body.
By the time she was less than a foot in front him, her body was human, once again."Sirius" muttered Sara, as she looked at the man in front of her, who had once been her best friend.
The man smiled for the first time, making him look years younger, and erasing any doubt, that Sara had in her mind, about who he was.
"Hello Smokey" replied Sirius.
She didn't know how, or why, Sirius was now standing in front of her, but she didn't care. Her friend had returned to her, and she had never felt happier...***********
