The years passed by very quickly for Sara. Both her and Mary kept their word, and never told Remus where Sara was hiding.
Remus would ask Mary if she had seen Sara, for several months after she left. But eventually he gave up asking, and he gave up looking.
For several weeks after leaving, Sara cried herself to sleep, and almost gave in, and went home to Remus. But she managed to stay strong, and over time she numbed herself to that pain.
Sara travelled souly around Britain, as the Ministry of Magic would not let her travel overseas, due to the unpredictability, of her blood curse. This angered Sara at first, but as her transformations became more dangerous, she eventually agreed that the Ministry made the right choice, in giving her a travel ban.

Wanting to fufill her role as Harry's Godmother, she would visit the town where he lived, and watch over him, from time to time.
Though she was desperate to talk to him, and introduce herself to the Dursley's, Sara restrained herself.
Before she had left Remus, Dumbledore had visited them both, and told them to keep their distance from Harry, until he turned 11 years old, and could be told about the wizarding world.
Despite the pain that it brought her, staying away from Harry, Sara kept her word to Dumbledore, and never had any actual contact, with her Godson.

Though she couldn't talk to Harry, Sara could talk to her son John.
As the boy grew, and began to talk in complete sentences, Mary and Sara explained to him that Sara was his birth mother, and though she loved him very much, she might not always be around to look after him.
John was very mature for his age, and took to the idea very quickly. He called Sara Mum, which made her very happy, and he called Mary, Auntie Mary.
They were a very strange, but fairly functioning family.
Mary never married, as she didn't want to complicate the situation, and she often admited that she had never met the right man.

Sara and Mary decided, that even though John was a Squib, he shouldn't be sent to a Muggle primary school. So Mary agreed to home-school him instead.
However, neither of them could come to an agreement about what to do, when John reached 11, and would have the opportunity to go to a Muggle secondary school.
Unfortunately, as John grew, so did Sara's pain level.
The medication she took was not strong enough, to take away the pain that she felt while in her human form. Which meant that Sara was now having to spend a lot more of her time, as a dragon.
This upset her, as she never wanted her son to have to see her like that. But John quite liked seeing his mother as a dragon, and he would often ask her to fly him around their garden.

Being a dragon, also numbed Sara's human emotions, and made it harder for her to remember some of her memories.
As most of Sara's human memories, were filled with pain, she actually didn't mind being a dragon, and was often happier in that state.
Though she knew that she needed to hang onto her memories, to stop her from forgeting that she is actually a human. Sara liked forgeting her past sometimes, as clinging onto her old memories, only brought her pain.
However, Sara's bliss at not having to feel her human memories, didn't last very long, as she was beginning to find it harder, to change back into a human, after long periods of being a dragon.

After one particularly difficult and painful transformation, Sara realised that her time had come.
She said goodnight to Mary and John, one night, and left the house, with nothing but her wand, and the clothes on her back.
Once she had taken once last look around the house, she stepped outside, and Dissapparated to the dragon sanctuary, in Scotland, that her mother had forced to live in, many years before.
Sara entered the office, and handed over her wand to the man behind the desk, after explaining who she was.
The man then locked up Sara's wand into a special case, for safe keeping, before walking Sara out into the sanctuary.

Once the man had returned to the safety of his office, Sara began to walk into the nearby forest, searching for a good place to transform.
After finding the perfect spot, Sara took one last look at the world, through her human eyes.
She then closed her eyes, and allowed her body to become the hideous beast, that it always wanted to be.
Sara let go of her painful past, her dead friends, her bad transformations, and allowed her dragon senses to take over.
Once the process was complete, and Sara was a fully sized dragon once again, she flapped her wings, and took off into the sky, watching the world gradualy shrink, below her.
