Sara missed being a part of the action, and she wasn't used to just sitting at home, waiting for things to happen. So when she recieved an unexpected visit, from a member of the Order, she was excited at the chance to talk to someone who wasn't a Marauder.
"Edgar! What can I do for you?" Asked Sara, when Edgar Bones turned up on her doorstep.
She already knew him before she joined the Order, as he had been in Gryffindor, a few years above her. And he was also the older brother, of a Hufflepuff girl, in her year, called Amelia Bones.
"Can I come in?" Questioned Edgar.
He had an unusual shiftyness about him, but despite this, Sara let him in.

Remus was fast asleep upstairs, as he was sleeping off a rather nasty full moon. But Sara knew she could call him, if she needed help.
"I'm surprised you managed to find my house. I didn't think you even knew where I lived" admitted Sara, as she led the way into the lounge.
"I didn't. But I asked Frank, and he gave me your address. I hope that's O.K?" Replied Edgar.
"Of course it is... Why did you need to come and see me in person? Why not just send me an owl?"
"I have something to give you. That I didn't want to risk sending by owl... It's very confidential, and I didn't want anyone else from the Ministry, finding out that I've given it to you".

"What is it?" Quizzed Sara.
Edgar opened his brief case, and pulled out a thick folder, which he then began to flick through.
"This is your file" revealed Edgar.
"I have a file?" Sara questioned.
"Every witch and wizard in Britain, has a file at the Ministry. Though I have to admit that yours is thicker than most people our age"
"Why have you been looking through my file Edgar?"
"Sirius Black asked me to do him a favor, and help you find out who your father is. So I thought I'd start by looking through your file".
Sara's jaw dropped, and she frowned.
"How dare he. How dare he go behind my back, and ask you to research my past, without asking me first" she snapped.

Edgar shuffled uncomfortably in his seat.
"Well, he said that he upset you, by making fun of the fact that you were house bound, and he wanted to make it up to you" he stuttered.
"He had no right to ask you to go through my personal file... Besides, I don't care about my father. He abandoned my mother, when he found out what she was. So he's not exactly going to welcome me with open arms, is he? Since I've got the same blood curse" replied Sara.
"So you've never wanted to know who he was, or been curious enough to find out for yourself?"
"Of course there have been times when I've wanted to know who he was. But I've never wanted to meet him, or anything like that. I hate him for leaving me and my mother"
"So, do you want to know who he is, or not? Because I won't tell you, if you don't want to know"
"Wait! You actuakly know? You've found him this quickly?"
"Yes. It's in your file. Your father's name was written down, and then painted over, on your birth certificate. But I used very clever magic, and I managed to read the name your mother wrote down, as your father".

"She might have lied" admitted Sara.
"She might have. But she had no reason to lie, since she could have left the box blank, if she had wanted to... The only way you will ever find out the truth, is to ask him if he dated your mother. And then you will have your answer" replied Edgar.
Sara took a deep breath, and sighed.
"Go on then... Tell me. Who is my father?".
Edgar found the right page in Sara's file, and handed it over to her.
"Fawley. Leo Fawley" revealed Edgar.
Sara took her file from Edgar, and looked down at the name listed as her father. A name that she had never heard before, but as her mother refused to mention her father, this was not a surprise.
"Who is he? Who is Leo Fawley?" Asked Sara quietly.

"He works at the Ministry. He's a member of the Wizengamot, though I'm not sure what his exact job title is... He's also a proud Pure-blood, and a member of the sacred 28. The list that mentions all of the Pure-blood families. But apart from that, I really don't know much about him" admitted Edgar.
"So he's not someone you speak to at work?" Quizzed Sara.
"I mean, we may have greeted each other in the corridors. But nothing more than that" replied Edgar.
"But from what you know of him, would you say he was a bad man? If he is on the Sacred 28, then does he believe in the same things as Voldemort"
"Not all Pure-bloods on that list, are evil Sara. Longbottom, MacMillian, Ollivander, Weasley, they are all good families. Only some on the Sacred 28, agree with He Who Must Not Be Named".

"But do you think he does?" Asked Sara.
"I really couldn't say" admitted Edgar.
"Is he- I mean does he have a family?"
"He's not married, if that's what you mean, so he has no legitimate children. His parents died a few years ago, from what I remember. He's also an only child, so I think he's the last one in his family, with the name Fawley. But then again, I can't be 100% certain"
"Where does he live?"
"He has a manor house in the country somewhere, from what I've heard. I could find out for you, if you wanted to meet him"
"I don't know- I don't know what I want... Now that I know who he is, I guess I have to meet him. Someone needs to tell him how upset my mother was, when he walked out on her...
But I don't want to let myself like him, because of what he did. Leaving her all on her own, dropping her like an old hat, just because he found out she was a Maledictus".

"Sara, I know you love your mother, but even you have to admit, that she may not have been entirely truthful, about what happened between her and your father. She could have lied, or twisted the story, to make her look like the victim" reminded Edgar.
"Are you saying my mother is a liar?" Questioned Sara.
"No. All I'm saying is, none of us were there. We don't know what really happened between them. Which is why I think you should meet Leo, and hear the story from his point of view... But I'm not going to force you to do anything. I will get his address for you, and then it will be all up to you. You will have to choose what you want to do".

Once Edgar had left, Sara didn't know what to do with herself.
She had a copy of her file, that Edgar had given her, so that he could put the original back in its place. But she was too afraid to read the whole thing, as she didn't really want to know what the Ministry thought of her.
With Edgar's promise to find her father's address, Sara was feeling very anxious.
She was angry with Sirius for putting her in that situation. But she was also glad, as it would enable to get an answer, to some of the questions she had lived with, her whole life.
Sara just wasn't sure whether or not she would like the answers she recieved.
