Sara's POV

"Where are we going now? home?"

i asked hopefully daydreaming about my warm cozy bed. Jay laughed and shook his head.

"Now that would just be boring." he teased and i rolled my eyes.

Why is it so hard to get some sleep?

last night Nathan wouldn't stop texting me. He would send me random pictures of his room and his shirts and his hats. i would send him the pictures i took that morning. he was utterly cute but he kept me from sleeping.

"Cant we just sleep, a nap if you will?" i asked for the umpteenth time but Jay just laughed. He was being aggravating.

Grabbing my hand he pulled me after him as if he was in a hurry and with Jay he probably was. Suddenly without warning it started to pour. i squealed and covered the ratnest i call hair and glared at Jay.

"I am sooo pissed right now. is weather always like this in London?"

Jay laughed and began to spin around his curly hair molding to his face and neck. "Its like this in all of England, Red. So cheer up!"

he reached for my hand and began to twirl me. i couldnt help but laugh. Jay was so alive and warm that it was hard to be mad at my friend for long.

He jerked to a stop causing me to stumble into his chest. i glared at him but he only smiled. he seemed to love to piss me off.

"What the hell, Curly?" I snapped and he laughed.

"C'mon, I saw an arcade. we can go there until it stops raining."

I nodded in agreement and we raced to the small arched doorway. We walked in as lightning striked the ground and thunder boomed above us with a manaical crash.

"Damn, made it just in time." Jay muttered and I nodded my head before looking around.

it was filled with old timey arcade boxes; pacman, tetris, basketball, car racing, and my favorite Skiball. I grinned.

"Give me a quarter."

i held my hand out expectantly and watched Jay roll his eyes. Rumaging through his pockets, he came up with nothing but a five. he blushed.

"Sara?"

I raised an eyebrow at him as his blush deepened embarrassment clouding his eyes. i couldnt help but be a little curious.

"Yes?"

"I kind of left my  wallet at the movie theatre."

I burst into laughter. That is so Jay. Shaking my head, i snatched the five out of his hand.

"i'll get change."

Five minutes later, we were playing skiball. everytime Jay missed he would jump onto the machine and pop one into the fifty. I laughed and cheered him on but others werent so amused. it was the seventh time when he was caught. he had just finished dumping it when the kid running the prize box walked up to us.

"Sir, you are going to have to stop doing that. it is considered cheating."

Jay snorted and rolled his eyes. "of course its cheating, how else am i going to win? actually make it in by throwing the ball?"

The prize guy gave jay a grim look.

"Yes sir, thats how its done. if you dont like it you can leave."

I choked on a fit of giggles and grabbed Jay's arm pulling him down. he towered over me like a lion and he really did have a lion's mane.  the boy turned to me.

"Ma'am you have to keep your boyfriend off the machines, its dangerous and unfair to the other costumers."

I rolled my eyes but nodded. "Ok, whatever, and he's not my boyfriend."

Jay and the guy looked at me with identical frowns. i blushed. "Well, he's not." I protested. the guy shook his head.

"sure, lady, whatever keeps you warm at night."

I glared at his back and turned to Jay he was still frowning. i frowned back unable to meet his blue eyes. "What?" I demanded.

"

Nothing... lets just get our prize and head out."

I nodded knowing it was not nothing and collected my tickets. Jay had 690 tickets and i had 113. Cheater.

The boy at the prize booth did not see happy to cash in our tickets but he did anyways. i began to look at the hundred ticket prizes.

"sara, look at this its so you!" Jay exclaimed pointing up. i turned to see a giant blue wolf stuffie smiling down at me. i squealed and leaned forward reading how much tickets it cost. 780. damn.

"Naw, i don't have enough." i mumbled trying not to sound too disheartened. Jay laughed and snatched my tickets from me.

"One wolf and keep the extras for a kid who might need them." I rolled my eyes as the cashier put the 23 tickets in a small box and handed jay the wolf.

"Thank you sir now get out."

i laughed as Jay and I were kicked out of another establishment. That would make it twice in a row, my personal record. Outside jay handed me the wolf with a serious face. We started to walk.

"Can I ask you something?" he asked quietly and i nodded nuzzling my new stuff animal.

"Do you see me as more then a friend?"

I paused staring up at him. I tried to look at him like other girls would and for a moment i see it. A dashing smile, beautiful rusty locks, piercing blue eyes, a great personality... and then nothing.

All i see is Nathan. All i hear is Nathan. No one else can claim my heart because he had already stolen it from under my nose.

I shook my head sadly. "No Jay, i love you but i see you as a friend, one of my best friends, nothing more."

he chuckled rather sadly. "I figured but it was worth a try." he accepted, putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Do you have a thing for Nathan then?"

I blushed and put my head in my stuffie.

"The biggest."
