Chapter 25 Girlfriend is not what I signed Up For
Tom’s POV
When we got to BBS Studio the next day, Jay was still pissed. He went upstairs after lunch to grab some skittles and we heard a shriek that would out pitch a ten year old Justin Beiber fan.
He ran around, searching for his skittle drawer, threatening to kill us, even trying to use Tia (the lizard?!) to track down his skittle drawer. Max and I haven’t stopped laughing and since Nath wasn’t in on the prank he was actually helping Jay look for them.
Sara never told him. She couldn’t stop laughing.
And Jay still hasn’t figured out where his skittles were.
So Jay was pissed at everybody, especially me, who he believes is behind this mastermind of a plan. I mean seriously? Would I do something like that to my best friend?
Oh, he’s not angry at Sara though. He said she was too sweet to come up with such a mastermind of a prank. He must have forgotten who dared him to go skinny dipping in a public pool with old ladies. Either that or he got high without me.
I sighed as we waited for our turn on stage and for them to get down with Olivia. It was her first time in an interview and Jayne wanted her to look incredibly beautiful and sophisticated. Sara was sitting next to Martin in the front seat bleachers texting Nathan. I only knew that because I stole his phone so technically she was texting me.
Technically.
“Tom, why do you have Nath’s phone?”
“Because it’s hilarious what’s in his history. He actually looks up…”
I turned around to see Olivia before me. My mouth dropped and my eyes widened. She wore a black dress that swept out to her knees and was strapless. Her eyes were shining under a thick layer of cat’s eye eyeliner and mascara. She even sparkled like some kind of dark evil princess from hell.
It fit her perfectly.
“Damn, Olivia, you look hot.” Jay snapped and Olivia laughed spinning around.
“I know right? They even said I could keep the dress.”
I opened my mouth to speak but Jayne came in and ushered us on stage. I tipped my grey hat to just slightly over my forehead and grabbed Olivia’s arm.
We climbed onto the stage.
“Everyone, this is the legendary, the fantastic, Pop Sensations of 2012… The Wanted.” The announcer cued as we walked over to our seats. I smiled at the audience, blowing kisses and waving and posing for pictures. Olivia rolled her eyes and curtsied before pulling me into the seat next to her. I winked at the audience and threw my arms around her.
The others, still hugging and blowing kisses to the audience, plopped down around us. Jay sat on my other side, Nathan sat at Olivia’s other side, Max perched on Nath’s seat arm, and Seev did the same to mine. Olivia was practically in my lap.
Just the way I like it.
“So we have a few questions for you guys and then we’ll let you promote your new song. Sound good?”
We nodded and the lady cleared her throat.
“How old are you guys?”
Max answered with a smile, “Tom and I are 24, Nath is 19, Jay is 21, Seev is 23, and Olivia is 20 about to be 21.”
“And who is Olivia?”
I smirked. “This lovely lady right here, our new talented writer.”
The girl smiled and looked directly at Olivia. “Are you excited to be working with such handsome boys?”
She winked at me. “I wouldn’t say excited. Actually my friend Sara had to drag me on the plane but now that I’m here I love them.”
“So you didn’t want to come up here to work with them?”
“I didn’t want to get on the plane.”
The audience laughed and I grinned down at her. She’s amazing and not the least nervous.
“So where are you from?”
Nathan answered. “Bolton, Ireland, Manchester, I’m from Gloucester, America, and Nottinghamshire.”
“What can you tell us about the new single?”
Nathan laughed. “Just that you’ll love it and our wonderful new songwriter.”
I nodded my head. “And Nathan’s beautiful musical talents that go along with it”
The reporter smiled. “So Olivia do you have a boyfriend?”
She blushed and shook her head. I huffed. “Don’t let the girl lie to you?”
“Are you saying she has a boyfriend, Tom?”
“I am indeed… me.” Then I kissed her teasingly. She rolled her eyes as the audience oohed.
“Girlfriend is not what I signed up for.” She joked and I laughed.
“Tough.”
“Does anyone else have a special someone beside Siva who we all know is dating Nareesha?”
Nathan blushed. “Maybe but I haven’t asked her out yet.”
The audience awed and the reporter smiled at us. “Do you have anything you’d like to say before we close this interview?”
I winked and pulled Olivia to me. “Only to go by our new singly. Believe me it’s worth it.”
When we got home from the interview Jay was depressed. And unfortunately everyone knew it. “Tom has someone, Nath has Sara, Siva has someone, Max is good at video games, and I don’t have my skittles!” he complained and I rolled my eyes.
“Oh shut up Jay.”
“No! Where the fuck our my skittles?”
Sara finally had enough and peeked up at him from under Nathan’s arm, “Oh watch your flip and you’ll find out.”
I laughed and so did Olivia. Nathan looked down at Sara.
“What flip? Do you know where his skittles are?”
Sara giggles and rolled her eyes, kissing Nathan on the cheek. “I swear you were born blond.” She teased.
I chuckled and looked outside. Our neighbors lights were out, my jaguar was in the driveway, our grass needed mowing. A girl with a purple suitcase was on our porchstep…
I blinked and looked at Olivia.
“Love, who is that?”
She looked at the porch and smiled wide. “My sister.”
“You have a sister?”
