Tom's POV

I walked back inside, my heart pounding against my rib cage. Why did she do this to me? Why does she make me want to run up to her and slap some sense into her before getting on my knees and begging for forgiveness? Why does she make my heart hurt so much, make me laugh so hard, make me want to actually listen to what she says, makes me want her so bad?

Why did she make me fall madly in love with her?

I barged into the bathroom door to see Kelsey all tidied up and sitting on the sink. I glared at her, my hands in fists. I would never hit a girl but I felt like doing so right now.

"what the hell, Kels?"

"Why'd you break up with me, Tom?" she whispered changing the subject.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Because Kelsey I don't love you. I fell out of love with you along time ago."

"I still love you."

"No you don't. you just can't stand to see me with another woman. It's childish Kelsey!" I slammed my hand into the sink counter and she winced.

"No it's not! we were together for three years Tom! you don't break up with someone after three years! you bloody marry them!" she screeched tears in her eyes. I sighed. My temple was pounding and all I wanted to do was curl up next to Olivia.

But Kelsey ruined that.

"Is that what this is about? kelsey I was never going to marry you. Period!"

"Would you marry her?"

I blinked. Would i marry Olive? I closed my eyes and tried to see me without her and couldn't. I was so in love with her I was willing to bloody marry her and spend my days with her as Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Olivia Parker.

Fuck!

"You would marry her! I see it in your eyes! bloody hell tom!" Kelsey exclaimed dropping from the sink and walking over to me, her eyes on mine.

"I love you, Tom Parker.' she whispered almost pleadingly. I closed my eyes. All I wanted, all i needed, was to tell Olivia the truth.

"I'm not yours anymore Kels. Get over it." I murmurred and pushed pat her heading for the exit.

The party was already breaking up and I ran over to Max. he smiled stupidly at me.

"Give me your keys." i snapped holding out my hands impatiently. Max handed them to me as only a drunk Max would.

"Why?"

"I have to find Olivia."

I ran out the door and got into the blue car. Ten minutes later I was at the flat.

No lights were on and the front door was unlocked.

Shit.

I rushed in not bothering to turn on any lights and burst open my bedroom door.

"Olivia, i love you!" i blurted out but it was in vain. the room was empty.

Empty of her.

Empty of her clothes.

Her belongings.

Her presense.

Fuck!

I turned on the light and started to rumage through all the drawers. Hoping to find something, anything that belonged to her. It wasn't til I picked up her pillow that I found it. The Sherlock DvD Series, the Sherlock novel, and the onyx necklace was there. Everything I had given her was right there under her pillow. Shakily I picked up the book and opened it. On the first page was a note.

Tom,

I am heading home. Don't bother chasing me down I don't want to see you. It was fun while it lasted but it was never going to be forever. I'm not your type. Have fun with Kelsey and take care of Sara. She's my best friend. also make sure Sissie gets home safe. It'll mean the world to me. You don't have to do your part of the bet because I guess you won. I did fall for you in under a month.

You were right. Congragulations.

She didnt sign it. she didn't leave a time or anything. she was cutting me off from her. I sat down at the end of the bed and watched as the last tie between us fell out of the book.

Her ticket, her winning bet ticket, was in the book. Along with a fresh hundred dollar bill. I won my bet but just lost the girl who meant everything to me.

I closed my eyes and laid down resting my head on her pillow.
