Jungkook's POV
It's been a couple of weeks since I had last seen that girl.
Why haven't I bumped into her at all!?! We go to the same school, so why haven't I seen her!?!
I was in the cafeteria, right in the door way. People were sitting with their group of friends and throwing food. Some students were sitting by themselves and reading books.
I saw two people in the back of the cafeteria. One was reading and the other which was a boy was trying to talk to her. They were sitting near a window.
Just then I heard someone behind me.
"Excuse me. I need to get through you're blocking the door way." A girl asked me and I moved to the side.
As soon as I moved, the girl ran.
"Y/N!" She screamed.
I looked up to see where she was going. It looked like everyone was watching.
She was headed to the table in the back where the windows were. It was the two people I just saw.
The girl froze for a minute and then closed her book. The boy stopped and turned around and saw the girl running towards them. He smiled and looked at the Y/N girl.
My eyes widened when the Y/N girl stood up in her seat and turned around.
I was surprised. She was the girl everyone talked about. She was the one...I've been looking for.
I saw Y/N standing up with open arms. She was crying. She was smiling, too. They were happy tears, I guess?
"JENNIE!" Y/N shouted. It wasn't anger, but it was joy. Her voice was music to my ears.
The girl that called her name ran to her and hugged her. They both fell to the cold floor. They didn't care that it was messy and disgusting.
Everyone said "ooooohhhh" like it looked like it hurt.
Watching them gave me a weird burning sensation in my chest. Watching Y/N hugging someone else and sitting with another guy made me....mad?
I didn't know exactly how to describe it. It worries me a little. I knew I had to get out of there.
"Y/N..Y/N..." I repeated her name under my breath a couple times. "What a beautiful name."
I walked away from the cafeteria towards my locker. I grabbed a pack of cigarettes out of my bag and walked towards the roof.
I walked up the back stairs near the janitors closet. The stairs goes up and then turns. It was about six steps each part of the stairs. It had railings on the side so you wouldn't fall.
I opened the door and walked out. The breeze felt amazing and the sun was warm on my skin.
I went towards the side of the railing and pulled out my lighter from my front, right pocket. I set it on the railing of the roof.
I took out the pack of cigarettes and hit them against my hand about three times. I opened them and put a cigarette in my mouth. I put the pack of cigarettes on the railing next to the lighter so I wouldn't loose them, even though that kind of sounds stupid.
I grabbed the lighter and I used one hand to cover the cigarette from the wind and lit the end of it.
~Time Skip~
It's been about thirty minutes and I smoked three cigarettes. My mind always seem to wonder off and the only thing I was thinking about was Y/N. I wondered where Y/N was and if she was still in the cafeteria. We had an hour lunch everyday.
Suddenly, the door of the roof opened slowly.
I grabbed my cigarettes and lighter and ran to the other side of the roof. There was a big wall and I hid behind it.
I looked to see who was up here now. I hoped to God it wasn't a teacher.
I poked my head around the corner and there she stood.
"Y/N..." I whispered.
I checked my watch and it was 12:35 and lunch was over at 1:00.
"Why is she up here?" I whispered.
I got a closer look and she looked like she was on the verge of breaking down.
Her skin was pale and she was shaking.
All of a sudden, she screamed. Everyone was inside the building so no one would hear her. The building was sound proof.
Why is she screaming?
Before I knew it there were tears rolling down her cheeks.
She was sobbing. It was worse then what it was in the cafeteria.
These were definitely not happy tears.
I watched her take a deep breath in, and then she screamed again.
My heart ached. For about ten minutes I watched her cry her eyes out. When she started wiping her face with her hands I checked the time.
It was 12:50.
She had pulled out a water bottle and a paper towel from her bag that was hanging near her waist. She poured some water on the paper towel and dabbed her face.
She looked brand new, like she was never crying.
After she dabbed her face, she pulled a small mirror out while putting the water bottle back. She checked her face in the small mirror and put on a satisfied smile.
She practiced a couple smiles and they looked forced.
"Just less than a year and you'll be gone. You'll be happy," I heard her whisper something but I could barely make it out.
She closed the small mirror and threw away the paper towel. She walked back towards the roof door.
I didn't want her to leave and so before she could even touch the door I spoke up, acting calm, "Why were you crying?"
She froze. She started shaking a little bit. She had a ring on her ring finger and she started messing with it with her thumb.
Then she spoke up coldly, "I don't think it's any of your business."
She started to leave again but I was behind her in a quick second and slammed her against the door. I had both of my arms on the sides of her head.
There was no escape for her.
Her eyes widened. She looked so cute.
'No! Jungkook cut it out! You hardly know her!'
"What do you want, Jungkook?" She asked calmly and coldly.
I was just staring at her. She looked so innocent and fragile. I wanted to protect her.
"Why were you crying?" I asked again.
"It's none of your business."
Why is she acting like this? She was different a few weeks ago. Why is she so cold to me now?
I sighed.
"Why. Were. You. Crying?" I said sternly, "Don't make me ask again."
"Then don't. You're going to get the same answer as last time. It isn't any of your business." You could hear the irritation in her voice.
She ducked under one of my arms and pushed me out of the way making me tumble over.
She opened the door and responded, "Next time someone says it's none of your business than that means you shouldn't keep asking cause they aren't going to tell you."
"What happened to being nice?" I questioned.
"I'm only nice when people don't push the limit. I thought you were good when I first bumped into you, but I've heard about you, Jungkook. I'm not an idiot. I thought you weren't as bad as I heard when we first met, but I heard what you did to her. Stay away from me from now on. I hate you!"
She glared at me before leaving the roof and slamming the door shut.
I sat there stunned at how strong she was.
"She's really something else..." I said while smirking.
But that smirk instantly dropped when I recalled what she just said, "I've heard about you Jungkook. I'm not an idiot. I thought you weren't as bad as I heard when we first met, but I heard what you did to her. Stay away from me from now on. I hate you!"
I won't leave you alone, no matter how much you hate me...
